Nub here- just wanted to let all you guys/girls know what an awesome job everyone's doing.

Having lurked for a few months now, I decided to finally make an account so I could give people some feedback. I've left reviews for the stories/chapters I've read so far on fanfiction.net, but I've wanted to comment on some of the drabbles people here write as well. So as soon as I get the hang of this board, I'll get to that.

Actually Satashi is the reason I found this board months ago. It was mentioned at the end of a story; can't remember which now. Also, I thought Satashi did not like to be referred to as "sama."

I've written some (bad) fanfics in the past (we do not speak of those dark times), so I get how important feedback is to writers. Also, it's just nice to know people are actually reading your stuff.

Welcome to the board . Remember, the best thing you can give a writer is a review. It's like food for us and keeps us going

If they're Nanoha fics, we'd like to see them

No Nanoha fics. These are some old school Saint Seiya and Sailormoon ones. They are very cringe worthy and I would not subject anyone to them, ever.

I thought of doing a Nanoha crossover about a year back, but quickly learned the error of my ways. The two universes were in no way related, and forcing xovers just gets ugly. Nowadays I stick mostly to beta work.

We ignore everything Satashi-sama says about not calling him/her '-sama' At least some of us anyway
And there isn't a thing as "bad' fanfiction! Only... Fanfiction you learn from? My early works are garbage I think but I keep them up as a reminder of how I've improved...

Oh I've seen bad fanfictions in my time around. Except that my definition is when one takes a story and performs an utter act of butchering it to the point you don't even realize that it's a fanfiction, because the story's been so horribly written that you're wondering, 'WTF IS THIS ?!' Pardon my language of course.

In short, I've seen people make fics that make the usual funny crack-fics look like normal run-of-the-mill stories.

I'm talking about stories where characters are put into such ed up situations that you're wondering what in the world is going on in that person's mind.

It's even worse if they're accepting your insults and warnings about getting banned as a compliment ><

Yeah, I've seen those. Mainly the reason I don't read fanfiction anymore. I can't enjoy it. Actually, fanfiction.net was avoided by me for a long long time because the fanfics I read on it were so pathetically bad, I just assumed FF.N was a children's place to post stories. like for K-3rd grade. That bad. That and back then each chapter of a story was a new story all together @_@ I joined when the chaptering system came in.

now I don't really like FF.N because it just plain sucks. Authors have no freedom at all. I can't even use my " ~**~ "for section breaks, I have to use that damned horizontal line (page breaks). Can't post links either, so I can't do polls. I even got a flag on my account for one of my lemon stories (which was taken down and now I don't have it anymore).

But anyway, my first fanfics sucked too. I did a long arse Pokémon story a long long time ago. When I was 16......wow, that's been ages @_@ So yeah, keep writing and you'll get better.

Yeah well unfortunately FF.N has decided to be sons of es and pretty much shaft everyone to the point they are forced to use their style of configuration. ><

Seriously, but then again...it's mostly on profit so they can do w/e the hell they want since it's their website and such.

As for getting flagged on that, I am going to assume that some hole who's hell-bent on enforcing the rules decided to flag you for it >< But hey...if they have an M-rated section, WHY NOT ALLOW LEMONS!

Although there is another place I go to now to post lemons. Try MediaMiner.org. They have no issues on it, plus they actually have a hentai/lemon category for those who decide to go, "WTH I feel like writing a lemon," and can post 'em without getting shafted by the admin...At least so long as the lemon is within tasteful reasons, rather than some ed up recreation of a horrible porno movie ><

Anyways, back on topic, when can we expect SbtB to be updated? Tonight, or tomorrow night?

Well, if it's something you enjoy do it, my writing is laughably bad, but I occasionally get a crazy idea or 2, and doing it is fun even though it's not up to 'par'. I feel that anything that allows you to stretch your imagination is worthwhile, and if you have fun doing it why not?

Actually, out of random curiosity, does anyone happen to know of any Nanoha/Hayate or Nanoha/Fate/Hayate fics out there?

In fact has it been done before? @.@

And if not, how does that kind of pairing sit with those who are open minded and not part of the Legion?

Hmmm to my knowledge I haven't seen any of those on FF.net
But who knows... I never thought I'd find a lot of pairings in FF.net or DA... And I usually do.
