I always looked at it from a different perspective from the very beginning. If Yuki dies at any point, Yuno's completely screwed. What's a diary that specifically stalks one person going to do if said person is dead?
Live together and die together, I suppose. The question then is what they'll do if they're the last survivors, like Reisuke said.

I continue to be impressed with what Asread's doing: they're basically sticking to the source material, but whenever they make changes they're almost always changes for the better.
Episode 8 is no exception: it does a great job with some more of the more-dubious source material. There are some noticeably low-budget moments but nothing that significantly ruins the episode as a whole; this isn't a big-budget production and what budget there is is clearly going to the right moments. Spoiler for some ep 8 details:

She was ranked #1 Yandere on ANN (I suppose that's the right site) while I assume the manga displays her scary *oh goodness yandere face* mode more then how the anime presents it? Especially with how she has been progressing with killing so many people in the name of Yukkii. *Please insert a picture of Yukkii as a God and Yuno as a maid saying "Anything for you Master!"*

I don't consider her as goddess of yandere, although she's more active than...say... Kaede. Yuno is attractive/scary at same time. She's also a quick thinker. Only new guy can outsmart her. It's somewhat refreshing. She is cold blood and calculating, and the next minute she's nice and warm. She is like queen of survivor games.

Boy, talk about your all time instances of brain failure. Without writing spoilers in this post, Yuki totally deserves to be in the current situation he's in. Hopefully we'll see something awesome happen next week as well, as this was a fun ride yet again.

Lol Yukiteru, you do the same stupid mistake over and over again, you don't listen to Yuno and trust strangers. I can't believe Yuno fall for a retard like this.
Btw, i'm start to read the manga and i'm at the same point of the tv serie now, i will read/watch both from now on (first the anime after the same manga chapter) they adapt it pretty well and close, some scenes are censored/pixelated but i guess producers uncut them in the bds. 8/10 |

Okay, I know nothing about the manga/other stuff and I have only seen up to episode 7 thus far. But I figured out a few episodes what this episode seems to kind of clarify to me as a potential scenario: Yuno has to keep Yuki alive to the VERY end, as without Yuki, Yuno's diary is useless. However, once he is the last person, she goes from vulnerable... to invincible! There's nothing he could do that she wouldn't know about, he'd be helpless before her, and if he put a foot wrong or turned her against him... then this would bring that scenario about, and I suspect we'll see it. The only chance he'd have is if she either changed her mind, or someone besides Yuki acted on their own to intervene... since Yuno's diary doesn't say anything about her or her own situations.
Just my supposition at this point. -Coro |

This whole episode (until the last 3 minutes) felt really clumsy.
I don't blame the adaption though. I think it's just that the material is clumsy and works better in a manga format then it does in anime. Poor Yuki. He's finally decided he wanted friends and what happens? Oh yeah, he learns that nobody is going to like him for himself (except Yuno), just for what they can get from him.
