When I joined this forum 10 minutes ago, I thought that it would be cool to pic the most un-anime username and avatar possible.

Thomas Jefferson is one of my heroes. A bold thinker who was good with words. Kudos on your choice of name--now I'll be watching you to see if you can live up to it.

Ah! Let's see. I've been using this pseudonym for six and a half years now, I think. Since before eighth grade. Yikes! That's so long ago!

The summer before my eighth grade year was when I really got into paganism and magic. I'd been playing around with screen names, trying to come up with a good sounding one for quite a while by then, so the topic was always not far from the surface of my mind. One day I was sitting on my bed and reading about an exersize in an instructional witchcraft book designed to increase your magical concentration.

The idea was to imagine a line of nine candles in front of you. Then you were supposed to individually "light" each of the candles, in the colors of the rainbow as well as black and white. When I got to the black one I thought about that for a while. Black fire... I liked the concept, and said the phrase aloud.

Black fire... blackfire? Perhaps like a name? I wondered what could be put with it to make it sound better. Mistress Blackfire? I wavered over that for a few minutes before "Lioness" spontaneously popped into my head. And I've been Lioness Blackfire ever since.

Interesting notes about this:
1) Later, I found out that I'm a leo! And, considering my gender, female+lion=lioness.
2) Also, something I didn't find out for many years, is that my chosen goddess - Inanna - is represented with lionesses.
3) One year in high school, I cut my hair short, dyed it red, and got purple contacts, while still referring to myself as Lioness. Then I found Tamora Pierce's The Song of the Lioness quartet, whose main character is a girl with short red hair and purple eyes who eventually is called "The Lioness".
4) Unlike popular opinion in many of my frequented MMORPGs, I did not name myself after that character from Teen Titans!
5) No matter how many times I go back and read that instructional witchcraft book, or ANY of the books by that author, I can't find that colored flames exersize. There's no mention of it anywhere, and my friends who have also read the books think I'm nuts when I mention it. It's like it never existed in the first place. o_O

Wow, that was unneccissarily long.

Oh noes, before I get shot down on it, a short explanation.
I choose this username before either Hackers or The Matrix were released, so I felt cheated when I watched those movies, not the other way around
Before that, I was known as cronox, before that as masterstorm (yeah, the names get cheesier the further back I go ), but I've stuck with this one for quite a while and I don't plan on changing it anytime soon. crash will suffice, but mind you, I won't listen to the name when it's capitalized

Huh, I didn't see this thread...

So Hitokiri comes from Hitokiri Battousai (Kenshin), the first OAV's "reminiscence" I watched years ago.
Those wonderful OAVs made me enter that damn animeverse
Though I was hooked to DBZ, St seiya, Hokuto no Ken "era" way before...

and -girl, because I'm a boy

I like the word raptured.

root: rapture

1. ecstatic joy or delight; joyful ecstasy.
2. Often, raptures. an utterance or expression of ecstatic delight.

Those are the two meanings I like to base it on..hah..but not so kmuch of the ecstasy. I love to be joyous. And it's a really cool 'r' word.

Jinto Lin,

Hrm, what to say, what to say?
So what if I AM an egomaniac?

o_O

Not really,
I just like to shout off random things to see how people respond to it.
In this case, I was concluded an egomaniac.
Cute. <3
But you cant conclude that over one post. ^_^

Does too much noise bother you m'dear?

Some people like to think I make too much noise because I want attention.
Mostly my parents.
.::Shrug::.

But, I think my noise, is a better noise than what they refer to.
Does that also make me an egomaniac?

;]]

....I make too much noise in all forums.
Whether be it little on topic,
or not.

It's. Just. A. Part. Of. My. Personality.

I'll give in.
My name, "Snowdump"
has no story.
It's just a random act of my imagination.

I always seem to leave long posts. ;|

I see.
I have a love-hate for such attitude. And you're honest which is a plus.
My rant was not meant negatively but provocative - which I guess you figured out correctly (and on purpose, because I wanted to know what the meaning of Snowdump is)

I don't want to be totally off-topic, Jinto Lin is a main character in the seikai no senki series. I've never been very creative with nicknames.

Since Snowdump has no meaning nor a story?
^_^
Yessum, I got a plus. ;]]

Not really....Im just ranting on here.

Very off topic eh? Oh well.

Ah. I thought your name was a reference to Ojamajo Doremi. It makes you look like a mahou shoujo fan. Which does clash with your Red Garden signature.

Not really a big mahou shoujo fan here. Actually, I have never watched Ojamajo Doremi, and never thought that my name would remind others of that show. Haha.

But you are right, if you think my name is related to Doremi, it definitely won't match with my sig and avater.

Well. I've been using this nickname for everything a looooong time. I'm a big fan of Harry Potter, acctually, a big fan of Sirius Black. And I loved Matrix. So, I took Trinity from The Matrix (because I love her) and Black from Harry Potter->Sirius Black.
