Windows 7 Search Bar?

I notice that I have so many programs on my Windows 7 machine that I usually just start a quick search for them using the search bar that pops up with the Start button. However, it's rather annoying to stop what I'm doing just to pop open that button every time.

Is there a program/hidden feature that places a Search bar for programs and the like (just like the search bar at Start) for the Toolbar? Don't say the Address Bar, because that will just open Internet Explorer and look for a website instead of a program/file.

Now that I think about it, is there any Firefox add-on that would also accomplish this?

Use launchy or executor.
Launchy is simple.
Executor as more feature and more possibility but is also harder to use.

I just tried the address bar and it seems to work. Typed in "firefox" and it launched firefox from there. Stuff it doesn't recognize it will launch firefox (my default browser) to do a search.

Typing firefox into my Address Bar only launches IE9 and displays http:firefox.

I'll take a look into Launchy and Executor.
