Koreans are also pretty tall...at least is they're south of the 38th parallel.

Well, this given that Ripples in Space is using only backgrounds to go with the narration. We'll see how that goes.
Actually, I'm prepared to make CGs for those parts as well. After all, there's little difference between a BG and a CG. On top of that, most of the images can be easily referenced by (or even copied from) the anime since they're all just flashbacks. The hardest one would probably be Yuki's rooftop. Since there's not really any canon picture displaying that location.

They look comfy and easy to wear.

Come to think of it, I haven't slept since yesterday afternoon.

This is indeed a very interesting question.

Baka Tsuki seems to have an oddly large number of english speaking Asians on it...

The first thing I thought of when I read that was "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T BUY A WTF BLANKET."

After seeing the horror that is someone wearing one of those in public, the words "wearing" and "blanket" don't match up too well in my brain.

Those blankets do look comfy, though.

I'm 5'11 though that was last summer... I have no idea if I've passed the 6' mark. And I'm Asian.

I'm not Asian; I'm a mixture of Eastern European/Polish and Irish. (Or something along those lines.)

187 cm, about 6'1. Very Asian. (Singaporean, like many other Animesuki denizens for some reason, although I'm technically Indonesian Chinese.)

Characters in anime mostly tend to have 175 cm as the "wow you're tall" mark, but then there are the occasional 190+ cm characters who don't look all that tall compared to their peers. Taller, but not towering.

This was one reason why the original idea for Haruki's height was supposed to be about two meters, I think. I think we toned it down after we decided that many anime/manga creators make it up as they go along.

That sounds like a matter of the creator putting down 190cm+ without really considering what that should be like next to the other characters.

I did, actually. My logic being that if Haruki hadn't been bigger and stronger than everyone else, he would have had the snot beaten out of him every single day in middle school.

Haruki needed something to fuel his male ego. What better than a height difference?

6 feet isn't entirely unheard of in Japan.

We do have text boxes devoted to names, and the difference in narration should be obvious anyway since everyone is the opposite gender.

Six feet isn't all that much...it is those extra six inches that two meters gets you over two yards that is too much.

Agreed, no problem there.

6'1 actually. Which still puts him a good half foot taller than most guys he'd meet. With the Suzumiya's unnatural athletic ability, I don't think Haruki would have to worry about people trying to get into fights with him to much...and I certainly can't imagine anyone ever having another go at it.

6'7 is just silly.

... Again, Chad... Being taller than everyone just makes you a bigger target.

That's generally not what people think when they run into someone significantly taller than them. And there are some advantages to being bigger than the other guy in a fight (you've got more mass behind your hits, longer reach).

I'm thinking people are forgetting the principle is "Size won't always win the fight" and not "Size will always keep you from winning the fight".
