It doesn't nec. have to have one red and the other white. If it evolved you could make it red with white lines resembling cracks going through it or something. or maybe it starts out like a normal byakugan and when they're in danger red cracks forms in the white part of the eye...

The Sharingan is better then the byaakugan. The Sahringan has different levels with the Mangekyou being the best. Only two people have ever done it, Itachi and Kakashi, while the byaakugan is done by many. The amngekyou is far better then the Sharingan that Sasuke gets when he fights Naruto.

You have to think about the possibilities of the two eyes... Byakugan and Sharingan have other strengths, thus other tasks. You can't say one is better than the other.

I agree with Last Hope. I would prefer Byagukan than Sharingan, but Sharingan seems stronger.

Do these jutsu strain your eyes? If they do, which one does it more?

not nesscerely if u did see naruto remember wat gai sensei said dun look into his eyes watch his feet n predict his movement.... magenkyos illision won work n i tink they read movement by lookin into eyes....

heh, well the obvious reasons for sharingan are
1. Much more powerful in terms of final levels and all.
2. you could cheat on tests and stuff.
3. you basically aprehend anyone's movements. (in a fight and all)
4. You can also see what they are thinking and all (i think) / get inside thier heads and all.
5. RED EYES! (you would be definatly feared by all)

reasons for byukugan
1. see anywhere you want to within 360 degrees.
2. You can see through things.
3. and i got nothing else.

if i had a choice, i would go for the half/breed. but since that will not ever happen in the worlld of naruto, Sharingan

Byakugan also has the ability of foresight (ability to predict movements), the same as Sharingan. So, that covers 2 and 3 on your list of Sharingan.

Plus byakugan can control the amount of chakra the body releases ie the kaiten no jutsuu(i think thats what its called) And another it can stop the control the enemies chakra flow ie pressing all of the enemies tenketsu.

and I know some of u are going to say that "so naruto survived even tho his tenketsu were pressed" and all i have to say is not every character in Naruto has a nine tailed fox demon sealed within them. ^_____^

i still say a sharingan user would beat a byukugan user quite easily. for a couple of moments it would be a good fight. But then, mangekyo time.= destroyige

Something leads me to believe that the byakugan can see through illusions rendering tsukuyomi useless.

i remember Neji saying something like"you can't fool my eyes"

Pretty sure you can't control the chakra flow of opponents without Jyuuken.
I'm not sure Byakugan can render tsukuyomi useless considering it somewhat sends them into some kind of "alternate world".

Spoiler for think English anime version is before this:

Kakashi spent 3 days inside the "tsukuyomi world" but it was only a split second in real time

That being said, I'd still rather have Byakugan.

i don't think that the byakugan can predict the next movements. Also, wouldn't the tenkensu or whatever be void against a sharingan user too? BE ause they can see what happens before it does?
