Ah! Perfect idea! Naruto mod for jk2. I used to edit it.. I'll try to get some people together and make a mod for it. It wont be a MMORPG but I'm sure it could be made into something fun.

Just of the top of my mind.. Bunshin would be an easy force power to edit. Kuwani (am I totally off?) would be doable I think. Could have the targeting thing for force pull, and simply make change locations. Itachi's evil stare he used against kakashi could stay as force hurt everything you look at (forget what it was called ^^) OH .. I could go on heh.

I'll see if I can get a group together..

Naruto MMORPG

I don't think this has been posted here before, but i've recently learned of a site where a 2d naruto mmorpg is being developed. Its far from complete, but you can suggest what you would like to see in it and what not. Anyways, here is the site, just join up at the forums. http://www.narutoweb.net

Damn, if a real retail game ever existed, I would be the first to grab it....

(Final Fantasy XI fanatic) = me

Edit: (got me too excited there...) Too bad it isn't really official... I thought you meant a MMORPG that you could find on the shelf of Best Buy...

I'd be happy with just a decent regular rpg based on naruto ... online just doesn't seem too fun.

i think it would kick ass to fight tons of different ninjas from all over the world,
hopefully you would be able to create and train your character however you want

Uh, an MMORPG? Something that supports hundreds, even thousands of players on the same server at one time? I doubt that's going to happen with a random group like this. They might be able to crank out a small multiplayer game if they are willing to put the time in, though.

Say they do have the resources to make a game that supports thousands of people, they're still going to need to get past copyright issues.

I'd personally prefer a full 3D environment, but thats me. :fingers:

2D just doesnt do much for my imagination .

no screen shots, no explination of gameplay other than some storyline from the show, no production date, didn't even mention what programing language they are using.... this doesn't seem like a game designer who is interested in naruto, this seems like a naruto fanboy who is interested in playing video games.... i doubt they will even get it as far as single player 2D naruto game, much less a MMORPG of some kind.

Hmm they should have it so that you can activate certain Jutsu's with a keypress combination. IMO turn-based strategy is starting to get old. (Unless its made for a gameboy or somethin!)

It would be cool if you could train with certain trainers etc. Have a virtual training class or something. Well on a PC, a Naruto MMORPG would rock the world. But thats not happening anytime soon.

Their still looking for people to help. Final Fantasy XI's ninja class is... Under rated, they need to be beefed up.

I don't think Naruto would fit on as an MMORPG. But I'm making a Naruto mod to WarCraft 3 frozen Throne now with a friend, and imo it fits perfect! Like the blademasters ability, that he can clone himself etc! They got lots of abilitys in WC3 that are almost similar to the ones in the Naruto world.
Not sure how people will like this thought But I will tell you when I'm done so you can try it for yourself.

Star Wars Galaxies and Phantasy Star Online are the only 2 mmorpgs I've ever played. and PSO wasn't that massive.

I'd love it though and would even pay for it. especially if it had an open ended skill set like Galaxies.
