Did I just saw a pic of Nina in the bed and... seriously, if Sunrise went there, I would congratulate them for their courage as well as defending Sergay's actions against all the angry fans out there. IF he did what I think he did (which I still doubt, since Sunrise isn't that good with moral dilemmas), he has a decent reason for it.

From the pictures it looks like Nagi was the intellectual mastermind because wants Nina to fully unleash the absolute powers of the Shikoku no Kongouseki, and what better way than bringing her the news that her father Sergey was mortally wounded.

I'm speculating that Tomoe might had done it by request of Nagi, and her lesbian feelings for Shizuru plus the cursed Valkyrie GEM are gradually turning her into a monster without conscience.
