In the second picture I first thought it was Fujibayashi, but the bangs doesn't match.
So far Miyuki's the only one with bangs cut straight, so unless it's a new character, it's Miyuki.

BTW: @Setsuna666, from your post I assume as expected from Yotsuba they ready known Koichi "plans", I always thought He was kind of childish trying to fool and play with against almighty 4th Clan Intelligence system, something I dont think fit with Koichi character, so I wait something else will occur.
On Kurobane twins, if they are in 4th Magic High School thats means is fair to think they will participate in 9 Schools Competitions, so could be seen a match between Miyuki vs Ayako???, (i am drooling just imaging...)

Well, things are about to get as busy as last year at this time in 1st High

The twins' family are the intelligence-gathering experts among the Yotsuba, and they found out about Blanche's plot to target 1st High. Not just using the media, they're also trying to force politicians to abolish 1st High for raising 'child soldiers' as the majority of the 1st High graduates enter military in some way. The twins have also found out Koichi's alliance with Kudou, though they're not sure on the details. Tatsuya believes this last bit was leaked to the twins by Maya as the twins aren't skilled enough yet to fish up info on a Ten Master Clan leader.

Oh, and the girl of the twins seems to be jealous of Miyuki's close position to Tatsuya. Interpret that as you will

Got to pity Koichi, tried his best to come up with a plan to weaken the Yotsuba, but Maya already knows it way before they'd execute the plan. Wouldn't surprise me if the actress turns out to be a Yotsuba spy as well.

Looks like Ayako still has a crush on Tatsuya from Vol.8.

Is this really Blanche or Koichi? I'm starting to doubt my memories. Anyway, as long as Yotsuba has upper hand with intel, they remain very powerful. Is Tatsuya their only weakness right now? Even those USNA people backed off.

It's both. Koichi was planning to use an anti-magic organization as a catspaw in an attack on First High in an elaborate scheme to out Tatsuya and weaken the Yotsuba. We just didn't know which one, although Blanche was the obvious choice(although im getting tired of those guys).

EDIT: I like the cover, but damn...Mayumi looks like a child next to Juumonji(who looks at least 30). Plus, her lack of bust (which is contradictory to the descriptions and other illustrations) makes her look even more like one.

Agreed. The proportions of Mayumi's skirt is a bit off too IMO, and I agree with some Chinese comments that it makes her look like she's pregnant

i fail to see how expeling tatsuya from first high would weaken the yotsuba(we know he made powerful connection as soon as his first year but i doubt koichi could see this far):what if tatsuya began accepting order from maya and use his considerable power and intelect to acomplish dangerous missions like the the kurobane twin?
even withouth miyuki help-and she would no leave him alone-he could make the yotsuba as powerful as both koichi and kudou fear they could become,should he wish for it.
once again,we know he won't,but no koichi.
seriously,i find increasingly dificult to take seriously the plot of D7;i can still enjoy it thank to my favorites characters and their interaction,but i hope the story will begin to make sense.
but perhaps i would no feel that way if i could read it myself-or a translation- instead of summary(of course,flere and other don't mistake my intentions,i'm no complaining,far from it,i'm in fact very grateful to all of you).

The main problem with this is that we know Tatsuya can use Material Burst, Koichi doesn't. The danger level noticed has discrepancies with the reality. Kudou does and goes along with Koichi anyway, so I think Kudou's setting Koichi up to fail. Maybe forcing Mayumi to take up the Saegusa leadership like Juumonji is for his family?

It's probably Maki, the actress.

His not trying to expel him, His trying to get him in a position where he is being blame and attack by anti-magic faction aiming at first high not to hurt him but to ruin the public image of Yotsuba who he knows raised him (i'm not sure how he plans to do that since i think they don't care about public image but he must at least have a plan).

-Katsuto's family finds out about Koichi's involvement with the increasing anti-magic actions and he surprises Mayumi with the info and asks for a meeting with her father.

-They meet and Koichi explains his reasons on how this seeming betrayal will actually help them against the anti-magic factions. Neither could deny his points but Katsuto hints that someone will still get burned and on behalf of his family formally requests the Saegusa cease their involvement. After he is shown out, Mayumi continues her questioning and goes silent when she hears Kudo approved of the idea. And the final bombshell, he then asks who in 1st high is she getting so angry for.

-Tatsuya hears from Ayako(these twins really have it hard for Tatsuya) the dates have been set for the
1st attempt. A politician, who on the surface supports the rights of magicians but actually wants the master clans separated from the military, will a make surprise visit to first high. Tatsuya reveals this to the student council, then announces how he will fight these political and media attacks.

-Before the politician's visit he will do IT, and give magicians a new path. He will show the world his genius and the skills of the students at 1st High are not shackled to a military's agenda. With the entire school's help, he will realise his cumulative theories and build a functioning Fusion Reactor. He plans in the next month before the visit to build..... A Man-made Star/Stellar Furnace.

-Happy Birthday Tatsuya! From Miyuki with Love(and alcohol).

Things are about to get crazy! Glad to see that the twins still got the hots for Tatsuya.
