I know that whoever is running the production side of it and the tv company and other major sponsors will get a bigger cut, but the fact is they'll still get a slice, they've been paid to animate this, they'll see some money out of it. As you pointing out yourself they don't really animate these type of things before (though I don't know if Saiunkoku Monogatari is classified as a LN), it's not Madhouse status quo.

They did animate stuff like this before though,things like Strawberry Panic and Mirage of Blaze.I dont think that these recent adaptations of LNs really tell us that much about inner policies of Madhouse.

I'm really hyped since I see some of the staff members who previously worked on more obscure Madhouse shows before, even Mamoru Miyano, so I'll watch it just to see how the story will be as twisted and dark as I thought.

Not only that. They both have breasts I somehow didnt like the drawing of their eyes, it's a little awkward to me.
