In regards to Teo it has to be a violation of interplanetary law to be that adorable! Seriously that is weapons grade cute. They definitely seem to be foreshadowing matches between named characters as well. If so I'll be looking forward to Corona vs Einhart, the outcome of that match seems blatantly obvious but I've always been the fan of the struggling underdog.

I couldn't help but think that Chantez was smiling just a LITTLE too much while she was tied up. In the manga you only saw what looked like a smile while she shouted about words versus actions to the twins, which is understandable since I've seen a lot of characters whose shouting face looks like a big grin. Here she just couldn't stop smiling. As I understand it she's a little mischievous, maybe she's doing it on purpose...?
Concerning the tournaments, I hope things are handled well. One problem with a tournament series, especially one like this with kids/novices who haven't built up enough power and experience, is how this lack of ability should be handled. Everyone's training their butts off, so fact of the matter is the girls would have to either demonstrate a sudden burst of genius beyond what Nove ever predicted or they'll end up losing; this includes Vivio who's been repeatedly made aware of the fact that she's not on that level. Yet Vivio seems expected to make it far enough to face Einhart. How do you deal with a tournament story where you know that the heroes can't win? Actually, a part of me even WANTS to see them lose just for realism; even they don't expect to make it all the way, so show a little reality and let one or two of the near-adults kick the ten-year-olds' butts. On a side note, as someone who was never able to find and watch all the sound stages: when is Miura stated to be a girl? The only thing up to now that I've been able to go on was the fansubbers' choice to use feminine pronouns and the way she ties up her hair. Only wondering because I've seen one or two series where I went much of the time certain a particular character was female only to find out I was completely wrong. |

I didn't even think about that with Miura, I just figured it was a given in Nanoha....as it is I don't believe we've even see or heard of an male competitor in the anime.
{tin foil hat on} Maybe they are segregated by sex, would be the norm for most sports competitions, but seems kinda silly for a magic based tournament XD |

You mean like the one where they make contestants get a device for safety, then say they can't use it for the preliminaries, then let one girl bring a damn metal pole to a magical fist fight?
They made a lot of pointless cuts and changes this episode, like warning the girls about Harry and Micaiah, but not Sieglinde, Miura repeating to herself to kick her opponent and then forgetting all about it a second later not to mention she didn't even yell out her attack name, for shame. Oh, and Chantez' magical colour is supposed to be orange, not red. Worst episode ever! |

Seriously. You don't tell two of your girls that they're going to have to face the Interdimensional Champion if they intend to get through this round of the tournament? That's not something you want to have sprung on them at the last minute! Nove was smarter than that in the original.

Otto and Deed just did rope bondage on Chantez for daring to fight Vivio, their protected principal and clone of the patron saint of the religion they are serving.
Sein better hope they don't hear she copped a feel of Vivio. Last edited by ReddyRedWolf; 2015-05-25 at 21:19. |

Talk about the block of death for Corona and Einhart. They have to face each other which is tough, but they also have a slightly dangerous...kind of important opponent ahead of them as well .
Not that things are super easy elsewhere. Vivio and Miura being on a collision course will be interesting. Mostly because they are both pretty likable characters.

Out of all the stuff, the one thing that grabs my attention most and makes me happiest is "Einhart finally got a full/proper transformation sequence!" As far as I'm aware, not too many magical-girl transformations have heavy electric guitars (off the top of my head, the only other one I know of is the transformation theme from HeartCatch PreCure).
I wonder if/when they'll ever release a ViVid OST? ...Hey, also, do we know how many episodes ViVid is going to have? |

More information in this post:
http://forums.animesuki.com/showthre...10#post5517610 Assuming you can read moonrunes. vic-vic's looked at it and confirms that it discusses ViVid being a two-cour anime.

It was obvious from the start. They don't have a good stopping point for 1-cour. If they wanted to end after Zieg vs Einhart match, they had to rush the plot. But they didn't do it

De facto, it's a two separate seasons when one end at a cliffhanger (or maybe not) so they could fire up the fans. De jure it's a still one 2 cour show. Just the gap between two series in the middle not a days, but a months. |
