The ending is very fitting, but sad.

i think he is alive.

there was no need for real death, both he and Suzaku died in figurative way, suzaku had his grave, he cant take the mask off, lelouch has his grave and he cant show his face too (if he is alive, and i think he is, and for that the director made the man with C.C at the end covered his face).

Lelouch is supposed to live because he is the bearer of geass, is not that so? Same as C.C., he should become immortal, if I got it right. On the other hand, why would Suzaku cry, if the assasination was just an act.

Suzaku was crying because Lelouch was still his friend. Although he hated Lelouch for killing Euphemia deep down he still loved him as a friend. Killing him was still very hard even if it was the original plan

There may be a chance that Lelouch is still alive. I, being a Lelouch fan, really wish that. But even so, that is very unlikely. And I also really doubt there will be an R3. The events that took place in the FINAL episode says so. And seriously, why would they name it the Final Turn if isn't the last episode?

Yeah, I don't think there would be a R3. I could imagine maybe there being an extended ending but that is probably it imo.
