ep 6 ~

Spoiler:

wow awesome!! this series just rocked off upwards
a lot of talk and development (which unfortunatly i didnt completely understand >.<) as well as seeing a short battle at the start...
as expected shiba kicks ass with his combat knife weapon which he used to injure chika and shito (though a surprise ability...he is able to control his knife using PK) ~ we see insight into how shiba died and his feelings for chika (yes fangirls! we have YAOI!! )

he was defeated but doesnt die as he falls from a building and turns into his real grim reaper form...

later on we get more yaoi moments between shito and chika after then gone off to lick their wounds...

and i seems that i was wrong about chika's family being dead...while he doesnt know where his mother is he tells us that he left home after becoming a zombie (a household that included him his dad and sister...) ~ his aim is to pay off the debt and to become human again so he can return home...

rather deep stuff soon followed but ill avoided any embarrassment by trying to interprete wrongly XD

Yes, I loved ep6. Lots of human interaction and feelings and history, as well as a battle.

And the best shinigami figure I've ever seen in anime. Loved those dark feathered wings, and the sound. Also liked Chika's direct question to Michiru. And Michiru seems to develop more with every episode.

Sakurai Takahiro (Chika's VA) is doing well here.

Betrayal

On what a way they made to blast off the plot. The story is finally delving in the cream of the pie.

How much I can asked for this episode? Michiru and Koyomi claded in Goth-loli fashion attire, and I nearly fainted when Koyomi stepped into the stage bringing along all of her charming sensuality in Goth-loli.

Anyways, I do also agree with Michiru. The meeting was gross and disgusting.

Killing and murder is art? What a sick world we live in!

I have a Japanese pen pal who is not surprised at all with all the disgusting that gets posted at futaba or 2chan at deep nights. But even one doesn't have to go far away to see human nature at its worst.

Rape, drugging oneself, suicide, sexual abuse, etc. Certainly, we're going back to darkness. I know that the world cannot be black-&-white, but people the generations are just getting messed up in their minds, or many choosing to get messed up.

As for Shiba, he was too good to be true.

Does anyone know what Chika said at the beginning of the second act that got Michiru so riled up? And why were there cute little animals floating around him after he said what he said?

If I heard correctly, Chika called Michiru by name in that scene. He must have been feeling really down to not take the time to create a nickname for her. I believe that was the first time he's called her by name, wasn't it?

Score points for Michiru actually shooting Shiba. When I saw that in the manga I laughed cuz it was so unexpected (atleast to me)

The character design somewhat reminds me of CLAMP. ie long bodies.

Oh, I don't blame Chika for not wanting to be alone right then. A close friend had just died. He's been living away from his family probably since the accident 6 months ago. Technically speaking, he's dead himself. No wonder the poor boy didn't want to be alone.

At the same time, given Michiru's personality, I can see why she would react the way she did.

Chika can come sleep in my room if he's lonely. I'm sure my husband wouldn't mind.

Michiru shooting Shiba was not what I expected at all. Points for her indeed. She's come a long way since episode 1. (But not so far that she'll share her bedroom with a lonely friend of the opposite sex though. She's still a "good girl, a proper girl".)

Honestly I have no idea, thats just how Ive been referring to it since seeing it in the manga. Claimed is a better term for it, but I think we'll see that thing again, whether its Shiba or not.

Story and animation still feel alittle flat...Yomi is still my main reason for watching (Well more specifically her fun interactions with michiru ).

Hopefully the next few episodes ill get rid of this murky sense I have for the general plot.

A similar aspect to the Shinigami for Bleach is that there's also a look-alike premise where souls are guided either to heaven and hell just as the former perform soul burial on wandering souls.

I have been wondering if it doesn't matter whether of the two boys choose to send the souls inside the zombies either to heaven or hell, or there is some sort of prearranged order.

I mean for episode two Chika used his katana to guide the woman's zombie soul to heaven, but on episode five Shito guided the soul of that serial killer otaku-boy to hell.

Since the souls seem to leave the same way, I think Shito was just hoping that those in charge of such things would send the kid where he thought the killer should go.

Just wow and wow. Episode 6 just make this series among my favourite anime ever. This episode has some great talk about life and death, and the pain of living forever, and freedom. I never thought this series will go this deep about these things, so I'm pleasantly surprised.

Chika gets a lot of character development this episode. He is certainly deeper than he looks.

I absolutely love the background song played in this episode!!!

^ i actually predicted that would happen ~ usually it the happy energetic ones that are hiding some sad tragic past story :/ but its nice to see chika as a person not drowned in sorrow (ye thank god no emoness for a few eps XD)
