When I look at this Arc. and the Amagai Shusuke Arc. it goes to show that the Anime team can be more creative than the manga at times.
I can't wait to see what Yumichika's sword is like, Yumichika did say that his sword is way more conceited and narcissistic than he is. So i know its going to be pretty funny. Last edited by AddiKtioNn-BlaCk; 2009-08-09 at 12:06. |

I find this filler arc much more enjoyable then actual story arc. The animation quality was good, the plot caught my attention right off the moment Zanpaktous manifasted intoo their physical form. Can't wait to see Urahara's Bihime, Youruichi's Zanpakto (if she has one) make their appearance |

Well Muramasa is a legendary sword maker, and is also usually held as a demonic, blood-thirsty sword of legend in Japanese myth. His rival was Masamune, so you gotta wonder...is Masamune the one that helped the Soul Reapers? Will a Masamune themed character appear to help out SS? Everything seems to point to Muramasa controlling or somehow influencing the Zanpaktou, namely with that bleeding thing with is right eye. It's written that Muramasa couldn't be put back into it's scabbard until it shed blood, so the symbolism is pretty obvious in that sense.
[edit]: Upon further watching, it does seem Muramasa exerts some kind of influence on the Zanpaktou. It doesn't seem to be an absolute power, but it does seem that he can control them or that they are somehow connected to him. It could be that both Muramasa and Masamune (who may or may not appear as a character) created the Zanpaktou - namely since Muramasa is a famous Japanese swordsmith. It could be that Jakka is rebelling simply because he's strong enough to do so. Muramasa also did something odd to Haineko in the beginning of ep 230. It's apparent that right there he was gathering the Zanpaktou and influencing them somehow. The fact that he shut Haineko down with just the wave of his hand is evidence for that. But as to how much power he has over them...well that remains to be seen.
