Fubuki lost credibility as main protagonist long time ago that it will be hard for her to get it back

Considering Inazuma is also a starter, I doubt it.

There is people who like her, of course, we're not talking about Mutsuki here, but she's far from protagonist status for the majority.

The game has the excuse of not explicitly telling you that Fubuki's supposed to be the main character though. What's more, there's no single starter ship (there are FIVE), and both Inazuma and Murakumo stand out more (via tic and via design) than her. She's pretty much the everygirl of the starter destroyers... Which hilariously makes her much like the harem and LN leads of the early half of the 2000s. You know, the perfect vicarious stand-in? :P

Shimakaze is a loli dressed as a stripper. Of course she garners attention.

Kongou is an attention seeker. The other one I can think of at almost her level is I-19. Then again, they are girls; which girl doesn't want affirmative attention?

That's the reason she got chosen as the MC: she's simple enough to be the perfect stand in. Besides, she already tripped in the PV, so she definetly qualifies as harem lead.

I'd still prefer Kongou to take the lead, though.

Also, I'm still surprised how little attention is given to Sazanami, considering how she is. And that the one tsundere (for Kaga) we're getting so far is Zuikaku.

Besides, Kongou is also genki and has a cool design, even if she has to share it with her sisters.

Anyway, I found some interesting news: it seems another VA has been confirmed, but none if the girls she voices have. These are, at least I think so:

Yuubari
Maikaze
Hatsukaze
Suzuya
Kumano

Also, a Fubuki type destroyer will be getting a kai 2 soon.
