Spoiler for Ep. 25:

Pretty much starts out with Asch crashing into Hod and then runs off. The group meets with Noel's brother who then informs them on where Asch went off to. This is where the episode gets interesting. Luke manages to run far away enough from the group to where he is the only one to meet up with Asch and then both are sent into another part of Hod by falling down a hole. The rest of the group are met with Legretta, Sync and fodder. The match ups went as following. Tear goes after Legretta after their argument, Jade takes care of the fodder attacking, Guy defends Anise from Sync for a little after Sync gives his speech. Then it is just Anise vs. Sync for the time being. Guy and Natalia take care of the fodder that are fighting. The fights end up being Jade/Tear vs. Legretta and Sync vs. Anise/Guy/Natalia, while Luke and Asch are having their fight happen at the same time but at a different location. The fights end when Tear uses Time Freeze to hold Sync/Legretta/fodder in place while Jade/Guy/Natalia hit their fatal blows on each respective opponent. Sync vanishes while Legretta just dies. The fight between Luke and Asch ends after Luke distracts Asch and unarms him. As the group goes in search of Luke, Guy discovers his home, Luke catches up, Asch meets his destiny, and the group then heads off to fight Van as the episode comes to an end. I did not mind the animes rendition of the game, but I was as bit peeved on how the fight between Sync/Legretta ended between the group. The fight was just getting good when Tear pulls out the time freeze spell and helps speed the fights to an end. The scene with Asch was similar to the game and I was happy about it being kept. I wished that the Legretta and Sync fights were kepts seperately from each other and not fought at the same time since some character development was seen before and after the fight with Sync in the game. Overall, an enjoyable episode to watch.

...For one thing, just what is the basics for showing blood?! We don't get any cuts or blood during Regret and the other guy's death (which seriously reduced any impact), we get glowing blood for the soldier, and then we get real blood for Asch!

Also, the episode really moved. The battles for a while recently have been very bad, but this episode had lots of good movement... Which was wasted as everything was finished up with Tear's song. Really handy, isn't it.
So yeah, song-->slash-->every enemy dead...
Just use the song in the first place...
Wanted to argue over Tear's little "you have no will" thing towards Regret, but I guess I won't... It's not like she can hear me.

Everyone loves Van, huh. ^^;

Well, there was a few messes, but all in all, it was a good episode. Have no attachment to any of the characters that died, so can't say I was too sad about any of them though.

Also, I found the hole that appeared and dropped the two to be kind of funny for some reason.
Still... It's amazing that Arietta died from such a fall, but every other character falls from higher spots and still live.

The Sync+Regret battle was kinda meh, as serenade pointed out, the fact they didn't used the song in the first place is silly.

The whole Luke/Asch thing wasn't too good either. No matter how they do it, there was no way to transcribe the feeling of the scene into one puny duel such as this one. Maybe they should have "skipped" it, showing only the result, Luke taking the sword and leaving...
I'm also quite appalled by Asch decision to remain behind, which seemed kinda ridiculous. It was different in the case as he COULDN'T go with Luke, but here...

It was still okay overall. But the last dungeon on its whole (ambiance, story, battles, MUSIC) is easily one of my favorites RPG's endgame, so I'm totally biaised.

In fact, I already know I won't quite like next episode, seeing how much I LOVED every bit of the end, staff roll included

She could have started anytime... Like, before they even started. She only had to open her mouth.
Heck, if it is that hard to sing, why not ask her allies to just defend her for two seconds so she can sing...

Excuse Legretta is dead!? WTF? How cheap can you get with TIME FREEZE! I mean that is so not honor and cheesy for a battle although in terms of video gaming such powers are more fun.

So finally the replica Synch comes once again back and wow was it a nice fight of him although his first one against Guy was WAY BETTER!

Pretty much the deaths you have seen in the anime has happened in the game.

So far I think this anime series has been doing pretty well compared to previous Tales adaptations.

This episode felt a bit rushed if you ask me though.

I found it slightly callous on everyone's part to just move on without even thinking of splitting up so Asch could get some backup.

Seriously, you leave one guy to hold off most of the enemy and still act surprised that he dies in the end.

I have to agree with you there. Just send a few people back to help Asch out. The rest can move ahead and take care of things until backup arrives. Afterall you know Van and Luke will spend at least five minutes (more if Tear goes too) talking with Van and wasting time before the fighting starts . Just send Guy and Natalia to help Asch out. Of course it's not like Jade cared either way. The man blew up his childhood "friend" in a pretty relaxed manner so not like he'd be phased by much. (I know Jade has emotions, just they are buried down there somewhere.)

Asch really should have changed clothes at some point. Clearly they decided to kill all the God Generals and counted him in since he was still dressed as one.

They knew he was there, but i don't think they were aware of where he was.

This episode was indeed very poorly planned, i mean for gods sake you should not even RISK leaving someone alone to fend off the guards, especially within the ENEMIES STRONGHOLD!

Even if you lost an extra 40 more minutes if you knew it was going to pain you, and the entire team of the potential death of the abandoned individual.. DO NOT RUSH OFF IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

It doesn't matter if it was written in the games script, there where by far too many opportunities to save asch during the past episodes 1. Lukes suggestion 2. House call 3. Jades Detection 4. Asches hired men
