A smartphone that doubles as a portable gaming console? Yeah, that'll work, but screw the Xperia Play. I don't want AT&T.

Playstation Suite better damn well be opened to all Android devices and not just SE's, or their assertion to "improve Android gaming" is a complete utter fail.

C'mon guys, give us stuff to feed all the hungry hungry Tegra 2 phones coming out later this year!
xperia play is verizon.

Sony has announced a lot of middleware and game engine partners for the PSP2.

Notably among the new additions is Crytek with CryEngine.

That's even worse--unless it has an LTE modem.

CDMA-type network really blows. Can't even use voice and data simultaneously.

I think I'm in favor of getting this instead of the 3DS... which is a shame as I was looking forward to that more but with that health issue (which I don't think it's being blown out of proportions), looks like this will be THE next gen handheld of choice.

Well, it's your money.

But I think it's worth it at least to give 3DS a try at a game store sometime, before discounting it.

NGP seems to have clickable analog sticks

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/...-136/#comments

Scroll down to question 13.

Do you happen to know if the analog sticks click in like the Dualshock 3?

They do click in, yes.
