Aside from the nice animation, nothing else really impressed me. The mecha design is mediocre to bad. I like the character designs though. Not expecting anything from the story. I'll watch it because it's BONES.

Official site is up now. The music in the show is credited to Metalchicks and Music Heroes.... errr... okay... Opening theme is "Roulette" by TETSUYA, and ending theme is "Calling" by Flow. |

The site also has the voice actors for the characters, the ANN page has already been updated: Mikako Komatsu as Joey. I'm guessing this is her (edit: yeah, this is definitely her, there's a news about Heroman on the site) . She's already been on live action shows, but it'll be her first role as a seiyuu apparently. You can hear her voice here. Akio Suyama as Nick Cho as Denton Makoto Yasumura as Will Mayu Obata as Rina Naomi Shindoh as Vera Ryohei Kimura as Sai Unshou Ishizuka as Gogol

Words cannot express how full of win that PV is. I was so so close to writing this off as garbage and that now is one of my most wanted shows. It makes me think of a mainstream FLCL. That last few images of the Earth being taken over looked somewhat dark so I'm praying so hard that the plot is pretty good. Stan Lee don't fail me now. The song and character designs were awesome too.

Part of me thinks this will actually be suited for western kids around 6-10 years of age.
but then again, I can't tell the future, so I don't know (nice character designs though).

For me, except for the looks/colors of the main robot/thing (which can be explained by maybe its story and that Stan Lee is working with BONES on this) I find it outstanding.
(I never liked things like superhero or robot with too much "recognition" to either their origine or the origine of the show. So, yeah, I never liked superhero's design like Captain America or Capitain Canada (for those who know about him) or any Captain *add some country's name here* and the Gundam from the Lunar serie.) But the animation will surely make me forget about it. (Since I do love the stories of those I mentioned... but simply hate their design.) Ha... And I don't like Psy's hair at all... Too much stuffed. (For those who saw the preview, it's the one with a MEGA pack of brown hair on his head...) I was fan of that as a kid, but I don't like anymore the "anti-gravity hair" design. (Even in my own manga project, I simply refuse to use such concepts without a good reason like a punk with spikes is ok... but not some semi-afro mixed with some casual hair style... that's what I got on my head on the morning and do a hell of a job to remove so why would a character have that 100% of the time? I'm too logical for that kind of hair design. +_+") |

Honestly, I think yous guys are readin too much into the Stan Lee biz. Aside from some superficial character/concept conception way in the beginning, any relationship is superficial. THat's normally how it is with these kind of shows. The bulk of the story will be largely by the Japanese.
