*Wanders into the thread*
Well just got some time to myself after driving about 10 hours total to hit two sets of family (one for Christmas eve and the other for Christmas proper.) Typing this up on a laptop at my grandparents house, yeah for high speed wireless! It is nice to be back in New Jersey though with it’s soaring vistas, breathtaking landscapes (cause you choke on the smog), and highly developed (read cluttered and Schizophrenia) transport network. Anyway I’VE actually managed to write a little… Though admittedly I’ve been playing allot more Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries and FS2 on the laptop then writing. (Hurray for wireless joysticks!) Also as is want to happen with me my little fluff piece has begun to sprawl and spiral into something with a plot and after consideration I’m thinking about a bit of retconning to what I had planned initially… I’m thinking I’m gonna wanna work smaller scale now, but whatever. Anyway, from my family and me, Merry Fucking Christmas. |

Well, to tell you the truth, chapter 13 will have to wait for next year since it's the end of year 2007 at the moment (everyone, including I, doesn't have the courage to continue flooding this thread now ). Maybe once the clock strikes 12 times and the calendar shows January 1st 2008 will we get to pump ourselves. Too bad no preview to share today. |

To be honest I'd probably learn what I can from this company and call it quits when I find another. Why? Cuz I hate the fact that the shifts are kinda, what gamers like to say "gay"? In any case, nothing from me yet but I'm definitely going to work on it sometime this week. Its been awhile since I've seen any post this long, so here's to hoping everyone gets back soon and start flooding this place again. P.S. I just realized something. NSFW really applies to me now. So if you are going to post something that isn't safe for work, do include a spoiler tag with that.

Here we try to stick to canon as close as possible with what is shown and the basics for balance's sake. I have no problems with the character but we'll see how the others have their take on this. Quote:

Yup, the name "Day of the Tears of Fire" was taken from Ashan's history, pretty cool eh? Though none of the slightest connection to demon spies or the subsequent exile of the elves that would later be recognised as the Dark Elves. Quote:
While close it's not exact mind-reading. She hasn't been totally wrapped from those experiences but nonetheless she has been affected to some degree, most noticeably in her mindset. Katrina retains some of her own questions and unknowns but she is fully aware and in control of each and every action she takes. Her malicious side is ever-present but not dominant, just supremely calm and at ease most of the time. I'll just let the future portrayals of her speak for themselves when the time comes though I have hit a slump lately. Ah Leona. Quite abit you let on about her here and some similarities the two share. A pity the two would never meet since GuardianS is set in a slightly different timeline and scape while I would prefer for Katrina's stories to be set in Kerokanon, I'm having difficulties pinning down the exact timeframe. That turned out quite ramblish so I'll stop here. Quote:

Taken into AMF's properties, the idea does have loopholes but that is still very much subject to future changes. As for now, the idea is for it to be casted as a single stand alone spell that activates on its own after casting, so the field can either be projected on a target location away from the caster or takes effect from the caster herself. The effect of her being affected as well is included as a equalizer for all within its effect, among a list of advantages and disadvantages. Quote:

My goodness, so Outer Canaan sure is slow these days. So our weakness is Yule, huh? (Christmas? What's that, again, hmm?)
Fellow Outer Cadians, in case you need some more HOT-BLOODEDNESS and BURNING SPIRIT to drive your Yule lethargy away, here's a little something: Otoko Ippiki Gurren-Lagann Drama CD Translation. Enjoy .

Right, backlog cutting time.. not that there's a lot of it
@Evangelion Your Xmas short was nice and fluffy. Nice to see a "canon" fic from time to time compared to the normal stuff that flies in here XD @Satty An interesting character. Quite powerful for age but no problems there. Not like we don't already have characters like that.. @Mortarion First of all welcome to the OC XD. It might not seem like it at the moment, but usually we're a juggernaut that spits out posts at rapid speed. I hope you're prepared You've probably seen it already, but the index of OC is on the 5th post of the very first page, along with other relevant info. Some things have already said about your character, but here's my view on him. You've got alot of device forms there. Are they all necessary? It rivals the number that Fate has (If I counted correctly), and that's a Mid device. From what you've said, it's an Armed device(Belkan). From canon, we've seen a top of 3 forms for Armed devices. Not saying that it's bad or anything, just that I don't see why you'd need so many. The majority of your defensive spells are fine. That is until we reach your full drive spells. Celestian - We've never seen a spell that makes the bearer impervious. Sure, we've seen defences that can ward off some scary crap, but it's always been at a cost to the user. As it is currently, you've got a charcater that could potentially shrug off an Arc blast as long as he has a good timing. That's just not on....... Similarly, the next spell (Maleficus Ferratus)has some major balance issues as well. It reflects energy attacks...... You've just single handledly screwed over at least half the mage population, if not more since the Mid mages can't do a thing without energy attacks. Also, how close is close? Even if it is fairly close in, ~5m, that still screws over a good chunk of the remaining mage population as defending and attacking at the same time doesn't seem to be the easiest thing to do. You say that his magic usage is a mix of "old" belkan and Mid. Or in other words a Neo-Belkan user since you can't really have any more Ancient Belkan users. His range of offensive spells is rather broad with mellee, ranged, what looks to be a breaker, in addition to illusion magic. It's getting very close IMO to Tormenk's OC Katrina, who's a SS ranked mage whos been alive for a good 300 years? (Correct me if I'm wrong here Tormenk ) That's a very BIG difference from the rank atm of A.. Your backstory seems fine as it. Just one thing though. I myself see no reason to revive RF6, as the whole thing was essentially one massive fail. Yes they ended up winning in the end, but only because of plot shields.. Some pretty dodgy ones at that. That's all from me. I hope I helped a little.. @Goose XD Nice short Very much like them Stormturmoils extra scene fits quite nicely don't you think @Kagerou Konata....... @TK Umm, some nice pics there Hope you had a good one! @FA Congrats on the Job mate XD. I'll remember to tag stuff for yah.. Although you should be more worried about Chaos and Lowe @Lowe Happy Birthday Yes I know I'm late.. |

As for her age, a slight correction. Katrina's nearly 400. She spent around the first quarter learning the AB system, which coincides with the Cradle incident nearly 300 years ago. Quote:

Hey Liingo yeah im prepared, ive sorta lurked without registering for a while. Comments noted and taken on board, i see what you mean abotu the slightly OP, i suppose it looks good on paper since i did stats first and filled in background for him afterwards since he was an RPG character first. The damaging people who get close for the Maleficus Ferratus will only affect people who actually connect in melee combat, i based it on the cloak of flames from the warlock class in D&D since, like i say he was a D&D characacter first. With regards to the range of attacks and forms i probably should cut it down looking at it, maybe drop the chaos and reaper forms since theyre seldom used, im not sure about the sealing form(i dont know if its standard on all devices to have it) and tailor his attacks to be melee only with maybe one ranged attack to support.
The section six bit was just a plot device i used in the original story i wrote so that the people playing would be dealing with characters that they know since none of them have read too deeply into the background of it all, so thats an optional bit i could probably swap out it was just coz where i was upto he was being taught by Signum since shes one of the few practicioners of old belka. Anyhow im rambling a bit now, im gonna give it a revamp tomora at some stage, see how it comes out. Cheers again. Mort |

It's fairly simple, actually; A mage rank for every 2 effective caster levels. What's your character's caster level? Does he have other skills to back it up? (read: Multi-class/Prestige class) and so on and so forth. Since there are so many D&D spells that are effectively Nanohaverse spells as well, it's easy to translate from one form to the other XD .

~~~~~~ I'm trying to select the spirit summons of the 4 avatars for the Aces first seen in The Cleric Forever. So far, I've only gotten: Nanoha: Skeith, the Mistress of Gospel Fate: Teresa, the Lightning Apostle Hayate: Akroma, the Angel of Vengeance Keroko's a little troublesome... You see, the TotP crack has hindered me so much that her avatar is the "purified polar opposite" of Neltharion, Keroko: Beathel, the Eternal Ashbringer Yeah needs lots of work. Ideas? And ideas for the incantation would be nice too. The spirits can only be summoned when Teresa, as one of the Naaru's Herald, is active on the field. Which means Kha has to be Fuzion'd into Fate first. Then, as the Herald, Teresa will call down her sisters, and their pet dragon Beathel. Preliminary armor designs looks good, though Skeith would be quite... unnerving to have around. EDIT2: Forget Skeith. I've getting increasingly worried by what TotP is doing to The Cleric Begins! Blazer and Kha back then have a lot in common... Lost their family, lost their love, lost their comrades. And the training... It's giving me way too many ideas for Austin and Meister Chef's regimen.
