lol since they were supposed to write fiction (Editor in Chief straight ahead), Haruhi will think that whatever Kyon's writing is fiction. (But if he acknowledges that he kissed Haruhi... then Kyon would shoot himself... (would be great if there was a literature magazine like that [Selling Haruhi original Literature Club magazine]... I wanna read what Tsuruya-san wrote... since it's very funny, I want to see it, including Haruhi's signs and stuff...)

Fiction which matches exactly with a dream she had once. One that had great personal impact on her. Written by the one person who would be able to write about it assuming it wasn't a dream and had actually happened.

I always found it so painfully ironic that the one person in the world who wants aliens, time travelers, espers, and sliders to exist is also the most skeptic.
"They can't be right in front of me, that would be too easy!" I always facepalm at that scene.

Alternatively, she'd get pissed at him for merging into the fantasy/science fiction realm with such a story, which isn't what she assigned him.

But then there's also the end of Melancholy, where Kyon explicitly explains the other brigade members identities and she rejects it because it doesn't make any sense (though also because it'd be too easy, as swtrooper42 pointed out).
I stick to my stance that she willingly believes things that fit into her own particular worldview, but is entirely skeptical of things that don't. Just being incredibly gullible implies that she would believe anything anyone told her, whereas she only seems to accept certain things. Or... a slightly different interpretation of Haruhi (blame Kaisos for putting up a link to the damnable site in the first place).

Your reference is very appropriate.
Also that was easily the best book ever. You gain respect points. Quote:

Unfortunately, no. The results do seem like they'd be amusing, though. (I can totally see Haruki forcing Kyonko to write a romance story "because she's a girl" and then turning around to hide his flushing face, hahaha.)
Hey, wanna do it, otai? |

Sure. We need a little more excitement here. But this isn't easy. Editor in chief is one of the longest chapters in the book. Unless you mean just the stories, individually.
Yuki's is just needs a change of pronouns. Kyon's has a lot of genderbending issues... considering the many rules of dating. Asahina's fairy tale will be fun. Originally, its a subversion of many fairy tale tropes, and genderflipping that merely turn them into a straight usage. So, to keep the spirit of the subversive, I think we should go nuts creating a story nearly from scratch. Have a contest, even. Best story gets used. |

Hmm. I dunno. His name doesn't exactly mean "snow" anymore, the way it's pronounced. Quote:
What will we call male-Miyoko, though? "Miyo" is still a very feminine name... Quote:
Two things to keep in mind are a) that Haruki will be involved in writing it, and b) Mitsuuru is not going to want to write it. |
