I'm trying to get a translator for "Idol Densetsu Eriko" (52 episodes) (1989).

This is a very good drama series, involving the life of a 14 year old girl who enters the idol singer universe in Japan. Therefore, a translation for the songs that appear multiple times is very important.

I have obtained the DVD-rip R2 raws from a spanish source some time ago. Although a "version 2" of those is getting under way by the spanish source, the
translation could start anyway, (EDIT START) and the first episodes could use the old DVD-rips anyway. (EDIT END)

The rest of the work would be done by me. The distro, however, could be made by a third party who I made contact with.

(EDIT START)
There's also little time pressure here.
(EDIT END)

If someone is interested in this project, please contact me on my e-mail: ramalho.pedro@mail.telepac.pt.

I doubt someone will translate at least 25 episodes and just trust that they'll be made into fansubs later. Finding translators for older series is already difficult. If you add aditional demands like "give me 25 scripts or we don't relase anything" will only make it even more difficult.

Well, I didn't intend to make a demand. I actually thought I was just being nice to the translator and to the fans who wait for the releases by giving them lots of time.

I guess I don't understand all too well the mentality of the general fansub working group. My word isn't enough; well, it's a shame, but, for the sake of getting this project underway and getting a translator, I'll change the "50%-75%" part in my previous post.

But don't be surprised if the releases' intervals go like one episode every one or two months. This period isn't fixed, of course, it will depende on how smooth things would go (if it ever gets started). I didn't want to, but it's the fans who might have to wait long periods of time.

And now, on to the EDIT. (Everyone, please read my previous post again, sorry.)

Now that ureshii has sadly lost its main translator, that position is now open. As a main translator, you are expected to pick the series you want, choose the staff, maybe translate check other projects as needed, and maintain a good timely manner in delivering the scripts.

Benefits: as this is a free service ^_^ we can only promise that your work will be produced to the best we can, and we do reward with cookies and pats ^_^, don't believe rumors about me smacking and spanking . Any other requests can be discussed when we talk
