I think reporter dude is taking a trip to Gantz real soon. He is sticking his nose in things Gantz definately doesn't want him to. What better way to punish him?

Anyway, no way Izumi is gonna die. If he does die at all, it will be with Kurono as a witness or at Kurono's hands. I mean, Kurono never confronted him about the Shinjuku massacre or the whole killing Tae thing. There's just no way Izumi is just gonna get killed by a bunch of vampires after all he's done.

He is being punished for the Shinjuku massacre this way. No one is coming to help him. Getting that out of the system and removing any grudges magna readers may have had against him. Evolvement of character. I think Kurono will die now. But if he does not, hopefully there will be an unexpected twist somewhere around. He should though, thats the quickest method of assuring his participation in the upcoming mission. ^^,

But at whose hands? Hm. Probably when Izumi gets teleported and Kurono shows up that time.. ? Wrong place at the right time. Haha

Hmm this was surprising and a little out of character for Izumi assuming he actually died protecting his girlfriend. He did however manage to take down a 3 of the 4 vamps introduced way back when so at least he went out with a bang.

Surprise! Surprise! Izumi the anti-hero actually protects other people! I can't remember the last time he did that (except the Panda of course). Sadly, he is badly hurt (possibly dead) doing that.

I wonder why the vampire just walk away without killing Izumi's girlfriend and then drink her blood? She is so readily available.

i doubt he died since he is still here today unless one of his teammates got a hundred points and revived him, but it seems that the vampires wiped out all of them...wow, that was a long sentence

he's dead. I doubt Oku would have let him kill three of the four "main" vamps and have him live too. I must say it was quite a wasteful chapter though, with four big characters meeting their ends. (The vamps after all were the biggest antagonists we have seen so far.)

Though that isn't to say that he can't be revived later on. Even though nobody likes him they may need his strength.

I just realized that if Izumi does die, we won't get to see his new weapon... Unless it pops up in the room regardless of Izumi being there, but that seems unlikely. So that would be another argument for his return.

I hope that Gantz will put up an mission now, cause I don't want this bastard die without me seeing his superpower XD but few sceenchaning to show what's other been doing before mission might be cool XD and Kurono being in the center of the mission sounds nice too

I think Izumi already reached his limit. Remeber he got owned by the oni king. It's like Raiden got owned by Yevgeny Borisovitch Volgin(if Kurono didn't step in...). His super super weapon is not going to help him much. What he needed is cooperate with Katou, or Kurono.

What a rather uneventful chapter. Izumi gets up only to die in such a cliched way "I'm tired, let me sleep for a little while". Anyway Akira calls Kuruno up to warn him again that he is next. Kuruno wakes up the next day and sees Izumi's name among the list of dead people found at the park. I was hoping to see this super weapon but it seems rather unlikely now. Also loved the Hard Gay cameo

So what's the problem if he's died, exactly? He's still in Gantz's memory, he can easily be restored should Gantz (a.k.a. the author) wish it.

Ah but you forget that Gantz can revive anyone who died IRL. So Izumi could come back as Izumi 3.0 or something.

Gantz doesn't revive IRL people, he makes copies of them right before they die. (While the original corpse vanishes.) So unless Gantz already has done that, then he most likely can't.

But that doesn't matter because I think Izumi is in the memory. If I recall correctly Gantz keeps every player in his memory and always updates that memory with the latest unhurt version of the player. (This is what is loaded at the end of each mission.) However the copy stored in memory can only remember up to the point when it was stored. That's for example why Kurono couldn't remember anything after having been hurt in the 2nd mission. (Same should go for the 3rd mission, but it's never specifically stated.)

So... theoretically Gantz could revive the latast copy of Izumi which would be the one stored at the very end of the latest mission, so Izumi wouldn't remember killing all the vampires. Or I could be totally wrong, but that's where my reasoning gets me.

I thought that Gantz takes his players (if not erase their memory) from the moment they die (like durring mission) so they remember how they were ment to die, or if they were ment to die they die, but than are restored the moment before that with no injuries or physical defects (no scars)
