I think what IS does wrong that TAMNI does right is the male lead's place in the group. TAMNI has the lead as e butt monkey but mostly its his own fault after being proactive in his own defense. Ichika just gets strung along for the ride every time.

Next step is progression. As Eratas argued with me before, just because the re is progression in character doesn't mean regression of character is impossible. The problem with IS is that it works so hard to stick to the status quo. There is no brave venture into tipping the scales into one person's favor save Houki.

Remind: They all are teenagers with parents problems. It wouldn't be a surprise if they all see Ichika is a kind of anchor.

Beside, Kamachi is flat out better writter than Izuru.

This thread was almost dead until I came and turn it along with few others into what basically writers lounge

Ah I see. Well the only IS idea I have for now is an MGR/IS cross, but it's rather difficult to make a balance between IS and Rising Cyborgs so it's still a WIP.

It's difficult indeed, I.S. tech are technically higher by magnitude, but their observed feat is weaker, by a good margin even.

the fun thing is that in a quest (CYOA) I made in another site, it was set in the MGS verse after MGS2. So The tech progression actually makes sense (Such as how I.S. made Metal Gear extinct and slowing down the progression of cyborg tech)

Problem is, any advanced tech pre-MSG4 would have been either nerfed or outright sabotaged by the Patriots.

And I agree with you. IS tech - from theory - sounds really good, but then MGR happens and all I can think of is "What the fuck? How can IS hope to match THAT?"
