@ Issue of Balance and Skill:
Well, from a quick view, I have to agree with most of the points. It may not be my place to say but in terms of skill set, most are getting a bit too good although that's pretty natural since I believe all of us want what's best for our characters and we're all powergamers at heart.
Hmm.. on another note I'm not sure whether to feel sad or glad on that point about Tais for being so... weak
Looks like its time for a minor buff for him. Maybe I'll get him to take an exam (Urgh!!!) to up his ranking and some upgrades to his equipment.

*Just then, Vincent comes in the room.*

Satoshi: Liana, you don't mind if I give this to someone else, do you?

Liana: No problem, go ahead.

*Satoshi approaches Vincent with a little smirk on his face.*

Satoshi: Hey, Vince!

Vincent: Yeah, what?

Satoshi: I'll make a little bet right now. You up for it?

Vincent: *grinning* That's unlike you, making a bet...unless you have a reason...

Satoshi: Not at all, just having fun.

*sits down in a chair, puts the health drink and 500 whatever-money-is-called-in-the-Nanohaverse besides it.*

Satoshi: Drink this, stay standing for 5 seconds, and the money's yours.

Vincent: *puts down another 500 on the table* You're on! This is gonna be easy...

*Satoshi lays back on the chair, grinning as Vincent drinks it with one swipe. Everyone else, except Liana, who's clueless, and both Satoshi and Hikki, with grinning faces, looks at Vincent like he has a death wish.*

Vincent: Done! Now, I'll be taking-

*He suddenly goes down on the ground and starts vomiting*

Satoshi: So....how many seconds was that, Cipher?

Cipher: About 3.79 seconds.

Satoshi: Thanks. *To Vincent, who's still vomiting* I'll be taking this.

I don't know exactly what happened, but I had a heartily laugh after reading it. Looks like Vincent isn't as strong as he looks.

I suppose I am probably just a burden to the Time Space Administration Bureau... I'm often shuttled around, never permanently attached to any of the Bureau's three branches, occasionally moved around to protect who or what they call 'high priority targets'. I guess they see my defensive talent as useful... even my callsign 'Stormshield' represents that. I don't consider myself the queen of shields, and the 'storm' part of it somewhat intrigues me, as I'm not proficient in the use of lightning. Whatever the case may be, at least I am treated rather well, even if people seem cold towards me. The superiors must have some reason for this, though...

Today...it looks like I have some deployment orders... it seems I am supposed to be at this...world to protect something they call a 'lost logia'. I really don't know what this is, but it sounds rather important. I should get started now, anyway...the rock like world this 'lost logia' is located is rather far, and I should probably get there earlier.
Summoning my barrier jacket, I leapt onto a nearby rooftop where I could begin my spell without interfering anyone, especially someone higher up than me.
"...I'm ready...so...Sargeant, I need access for long distance teleportation to the planet listed on my assignment..."
A short pause, before a gruff male voice replied with the affirmative I needed. Without wasting a moment, I brought up all the necessary data and prepared to make my journey, laying down the familiar Mid-Childan array that I used for many, if not all of my spells. I heard myself mutter the coordinates that I were to arrive at, the central outpost of this 'lost logia' excavation. A couple seconds later, I finished my incantation and the Mid-Childan landscape vanished from my eyes. In its place were ragged peaks and a ravaged skyline. Without even thinking about it, I raised my arm to block the heavy gaze of the twin massive suns above. This place was a deserty waste, apparently, because the land up to the horizon was filled with nothing more than sharp crags and tall rocky spires sticking up like nubs every here and there. It was then I noticed that I was slightly off on my calculation, and had arrived farther from the camp than I had expected. I wrote it off as something I should have somebody check out later when I wrote my report, but something in the back of my mind felt as though it weren't just something that I should ignore.
Leaping into the heavy air, I began flying towards the place I should have warped into, but didn't. Unfortunately, something seemed to be happening. I sped up to have a closer look, and immediately regretted making the earlier mistake. It seemed as though the outskirts of the encampment were swarming with what seemed to be giant floating silver pellets of doom as the outnumbered and overwhelmed Enforcers were barely holding the line in the middle.
My Mid-Childan array appeared again and I stopped to cast my spell, hoping that this pause wouldn't be too lethal to the beleagured colleagues of mine. I vanished again and reappeared in the middle of the circle of Bureau members, casting my Distortion Field technique as soon as I appeared, with my device activated. The Enforcers' collective surprise turned to relief as they looked behind them and saw a little girl single-handedly holding off
what they together could not defeat.
"I'm sorry. I should have been here earlier...but I'll try to make up for it. My callsign is 'Stormshield'. I think I can try to stop them... I have free reign from the headquarters as long as it saves everyone..."
Calling Dracatougueze into its active form, as well as the fingerless gloves with that enigmatic insignia, I mentally prepared myself for what seemed to be an easy task, although I knew that the combination of my weakness of my offense and the opponent's unknown abilities would make my mission harder. Still holding up the barrier, I prepared to at least mount a decent offense. I pointed my finger at the nearest foes, and several balls of purple-blue energy began collecting a short distance away from my outstretched hand.
"Dracatougueze...!"
The device replied. "Fine. Glacial Spike. Replicate."
The small amount of energy launched themselves with my guidance towards the targets, taking the first down rather easily. However, it's companions began to emit some sort of purpleish aura, which simply dissolved my spell on contact. Clenching my fist in some sort of self-disappointment, a panicky voice to the left of me explained.
"It's their ability, some sort of Anti-Magic Field which cancels out magic within a certain distance. The reason why we can't defeat these enemies is because their field is stronger than our attacks."
Field is stronger than our...attack...? if this... Anti-Magic Field can defeat my Glacial Spike...and it seems to be a sphere like barrier...what should I do...
"We can't stay forever like this." My device piped up. It would be a simple matter of life or death for these brave Enforcers if I couldn't handle the strain and my Distortion Field collapsed. Though...if I did defeat all of these drones, it wouldn't really matter... the Enforcers were the problem. I had to do something about them. There were about nine or so of these men and women, one holding a large black, rather boxy case which I assumed to be the 'lost logia'. Thinking back to my earlier mistake, I realized how badly it could end if I tried to defeat all of the drones and failed, but I also thought up a different idea.
"Umm...I don't think I can hold out much longer... I'm going to transfer all of you back to Mid-Childa...is that alright...?"
In the heat of the moment, it was probably the best choice for them.
"Dimensional Transfer...location...Mid-Childa...coordinates, one, zero, zero..." I continued by multitasking, concentrating more on holding up the barrier than teleporting the Enforcers. Another mistake, probably, but it would be better to teleport the Enforcers to anywhere on Mid-Childa than to have them die at the hands of these drones. I finished my incantation, swung Dracatougueze, and my companions abandoned me on this wasteland. I wasted no time getting to business. I teleported upwards and allowed the drones to attempt to follow me skywards. Apparently these drones weren't capable of anything higher than hovering, so I should use that to my advantage. As they can't reach me up here, this would be a good place to attempt a risky move...right?
I decided to take a middle road first, and try the same trick again except on a larger scale. Again, my device chanted its monotonous phrase, and Glacial Spike leapt into being, this time summoning about a dozen of these projectiles before I launched them into the midst of the gray mass of drones. To my dismay, the Anti-Magic Field collectively dissapated my attack before even one could connect. I definitely needed bigger firepower, and despite the back of my mind asking me to try something else, the rest of my mind convinced me that I needed to settle this now, lest I risk the danger of hurting myself too much.
My array expanded to nearly twice its usual size, and energy leapt into being around me in every direction. The growing strain was probably physically noticable by now, as I began breathing much harder than I ever have had to for a while now. I needed to end this soon, and this would be the ideal place and time to do so. If I failed now, I probably wouldn't survive in one piece. Who knows what drones would do to a simple program such as myself? Ten, twenty, thirty, forty glowing balls of energy. I couldn't hold this up forever, so I acted.
Pointing in the direction of the massed drones now in the center of the abandoned outpost, I again allowed my device to do the honors of saying the two words that comprised my strongest offensive spell.

"Excelion. Buster."

I landed amidst the smoking carcasses of the now defunct drones, surrounded by the devastated buildings that the machines had metaphorically gutted. Even though I had saved the Enforcers here, as well as the 'Lost Logia', I couldn't prevent the destruction of the outpost. Had I arrived at the right place, I could have placed a protective field...and this mutilation of Bureau property could have been prevented. Sighing and mentally stabbing myself, I raised my device once more on this planet, and left this burning waste.

USB500 - I think it's a reference to Kususha's infamous drinks in the SRWOG universe. IIRC there's only a couple men that can stand up to her drink, and the characters in that game often advise each other on avoiding her drink, and they often make up ludicrous excuses to get away from Kususha when she offers them this nutrition drink.

Well, I managed to squeeze a few internet minutes before going out, so here I continue the discussion.

OK, first, I'd like to apologize to An Hero in Disguise, as apparently the way I explained myself led everyone to believe that I want Serge nerfed. Personally, I dont. In any universe there are people better than others, and in Serge's case it is because of his innate ability of Flow Manipulation, an ability that An Hero explained to be extremely rare. Serge may very well be the only person alive with such ability. Also, Serge can very well be that "last boss" every other OC is planning to beat at some point. The idea that I really wanted to portray was the fact that Serge is only 2 years old than our Aces, yet at the time of the battle against the Aces, he was so much more experienced than them, being able to defeat them one by one without much problem.

Also, an apology to Kha. I mentioned Kha because he was also an very well developed character for his age. I never mentioned that he was overpowered. In fact, I believe he is very well balanced. I only mentioned him because I wanted to know how Kha fights battles... maybe I should have left this comment for another time, huh?

Yup, he only has one unique ability. However, such ability is so damn awesome (believe me, I really like it) that he can counterattack everything. What was really intriguing to me is how well thought up his skills set is. Serge surely had a lot of combat experience before that battle, despite his young age. He also noticed his only weakness in that battle against the Aces, so I'm sure he's now prepared to deal with a similar scenario again. And to think that Aether Origin has yet to reveal his 2 (!) ultimate forms... holy sh--!

IIRC there's only a couple men that can stand up to her drink, and the characters in that game often advise each other on avoiding her drink, and they often make up ludicrous excuses to get away from Kususha when she offers them this nutrition drink.

I never said he was weak, just low-ranked (He is stil D-rank right?). Although considering how much punishment he's had to endure, I think he's strong enough

Today...it looks like I have some deployment orders... it seems I am supposed to be at this...world to protect something they call a 'lost logia'. I really don't know what this is, but it sounds rather important. I should get started now, anyway...the rock like world this 'lost logia' is located is rather far, and I should probably get there earlier.
Summoning my barrier jacket, I leapt onto a nearby rooftop where I could begin my spell without interfering anyone, especially someone higher up than me.
"...I'm ready...so...Sargeant, I need access for long distance teleportation to the planet listed on my assignment..."
A short pause, before a gruff male voice replied with the affirmative I needed. Without wasting a moment, I brought up all the necessary data and prepared to make my journey, laying down the familiar Mid-Childan array that I used for many, if not all of my spells. I heard myself mutter the coordinates that I were to arrive at, the central outpost of this 'lost logia' excavation. A couple seconds later, I finished my incantation and the Mid-Childan landscape vanished from my eyes. In its place were ragged peaks and a ravaged skyline. Without even thinking about it, I raised my arm to block the heavy gaze of the twin massive suns above. This place was a deserty waste, apparently, because the land up to the horizon was filled with nothing more than sharp crags and tall rocky spires sticking up like nubs every here and there. It was then I noticed that I was slightly off on my calculation, and had arrived farther from the camp than I had expected. I wrote it off as something I should have somebody check out later when I wrote my report, but something in the back of my mind felt as though it weren't just something that I should ignore.
Leaping into the heavy air, I began flying towards the place I should have warped into, but didn't. Unfortunately, something seemed to be happening. I sped up to have a closer look, and immediately regretted making the earlier mistake. It seemed as though the outskirts of the encampment were swarming with what seemed to be giant floating silver pellets of doom as the outnumbered and overwhelmed Enforcers were barely holding the line in the middle.
My Mid-Childan array appeared again and I stopped to cast my spell, hoping that this pause wouldn't be too lethal to the beleagured colleagues of mine. I vanished again and reappeared in the middle of the circle of Bureau members, casting my Distortion Field technique as soon as I appeared, with my device activated. The Enforcers' collective surprise turned to relief as they looked behind them and saw a little girl single-handedly holding off
what they together could not defeat.
"I'm sorry. I should have been here earlier...but I'll try to make up for it. My callsign is 'Stormshield'. I think I can try to stop them... I have free reign from the headquarters as long as it saves everyone..."
Calling Dracatougueze into its active form, as well as the fingerless gloves with that enigmatic insignia, I mentally prepared myself for what seemed to be an easy task, although I knew that the combination of my weakness of my offense and the opponent's unknown abilities would make my mission harder. Still holding up the barrier, I prepared to at least mount a decent offense. I pointed my finger at the nearest foes, and several balls of purple-blue energy began collecting a short distance away from my outstretched hand.
"Dracatougueze...!"
The device replied. "Fine. Glacial Spike. Replicate."
The small amount of energy launched themselves with my guidance towards the targets, taking the first down rather easily. However, it's companions began to emit some sort of purpleish aura, which simply dissolved my spell on contact. Clenching my fist in some sort of self-disappointment, a panicky voice to the left of me explained.
"It's their ability, some sort of Anti-Magic Field which cancels out magic within a certain distance. The reason why we can't defeat these enemies is because their field is stronger than our attacks."
Field is stronger than our...attack...? if this... Anti-Magic Field can defeat my Glacial Spike...and it seems to be a sphere like barrier...what should I do...
"We can't stay forever like this." My device piped up. It would be a simple matter of life or death for these brave Enforcers if I couldn't handle the strain and my Distortion Field collapsed. Though...if I did defeat all of these drones, it wouldn't really matter... the Enforcers were the problem. I had to do something about them. There were about nine or so of these men and women, one holding a large black, rather boxy case which I assumed to be the 'lost logia'. Thinking back to my earlier mistake, I realized how badly it could end if I tried to defeat all of the drones and failed, but I also thought up a different idea.
"Umm...I don't think I can hold out much longer... I'm going to transfer all of you back to Mid-Childa...is that alright...?"
In the heat of the moment, it was probably the best choice for them.
"Dimensional Transfer...location...Mid-Childa...coordinates, one, zero, zero..." I continued by multitasking, concentrating more on holding up the barrier than teleporting the Enforcers. Another mistake, probably, but it would be better to teleport the Enforcers to anywhere on Mid-Childa than to have them die at the hands of these drones. I finished my incantation, swung Dracatougueze, and my companions abandoned me on this wasteland. I wasted no time getting to business. I teleported upwards and allowed the drones to attempt to follow me skywards. Apparently these drones weren't capable of anything higher than hovering, so I should use that to my advantage. As they can't reach me up here, this would be a good place to attempt a risky move...right?
I decided to take a middle road first, and try the same trick again except on a larger scale. Again, my device chanted its monotonous phrase, and Glacial Spike leapt into being, this time summoning about a dozen of these projectiles before I launched them into the midst of the gray mass of drones. To my dismay, the Anti-Magic Field collectively dissapated my attack before even one could connect. I definitely needed bigger firepower, and despite the back of my mind asking me to try something else, the rest of my mind convinced me that I needed to settle this now, lest I risk the danger of hurting myself too much.
My array expanded to nearly twice its usual size, and energy leapt into being around me in every direction. The growing strain was probably physically noticable by now, as I began breathing much harder than I ever have had to for a while now. I needed to end this soon, and this would be the ideal place and time to do so. If I failed now, I probably wouldn't survive in one piece. Who knows what drones would do to a simple program such as myself? Ten, twenty, thirty, forty glowing balls of energy. I couldn't hold this up forever, so I acted.
Pointing in the direction of the massed drones now in the center of the abandoned outpost, I again allowed my device to do the honors of saying the two words that comprised my strongest offensive spell.

"Excelion. Buster."

I landed amidst the smoking carcasses of the now defunct drones, surrounded by the devastated buildings that the machines had metaphorically gutted. Even though I had saved the Enforcers here, as well as the 'Lost Logia', I couldn't prevent the destruction of the outpost. Had I arrived at the right place, I could have placed a protective field...and this mutilation of Bureau property could have been prevented. Sighing and mentally stabbing myself, I raised my device once more on this planet, and left this burning waste.

Off the side of her head gear muzzle flashes were reflected as the view turns to Mikoto.

Mikoto sidesteps a blow as she unleashes a single shot into the shadow before changing to a blade arm to parry a blow and slash back as she slides backwards some and then charges forward with an Ice Gauntlet, freezing and shattering her opponent in slow motion. Through the fragments we see Fox Chaser shots refracted as Feena is doing her own dance of death.

Feena is keeping a clean circle around herself as three Fox Chasers arc and curve around her, forcing the shadows back for the moment. But then the shadows surge forward faster than Feena can dispatch them with the Fox Chasers. However, Feena does not flinch as she spread her arms, the orbs on her gauntlets and hip armor glow in affirmation as a triple beam lances out from Feena in the form of Trinity Buster. As the line of fire clears, a large shield could be seen as Erika slams the shield arm into a nearby opponent to continue fighting.

Erika swaps the shield arm for a thunder gauntlet as she kicks one back and slams the gauntlet into the ground for a lightning bolt fissure. Blocking a blow, she changes arms midswing into a flaming punch as the burning opponent is knocked back and into multiple people by the sheer force. Erika punches her fists together as all six converge back to back as the view spirals into the sky to show the horde of black around the 6.

As we look closer into the sky, we see a battle happening in the air and ground in a wasteland against the Einst. We see Phantom Squad and Mabiko regroup as the Einst continue to spawn around them. Mabiko looks over her shoulder as Brevis looks back and flashes a thumbs up. The group then breaks out and resumes the action.

Brevis dodges boney boomerangs and drives his left arm into an Einst Knochen, firing off all 4 jackhammers in sync as he spins around and shears off another Knochen's head with his right arm's Pincer Claw along with another Knochen's body diagonally with his Energy Horn and firing the claw's multi-barrel gun at another Knochen while in momentum before stopping and unleashing Schrapnell Schuetze as rifle shots hit the Einst closing in behind him, showing Cressida flying by and blasting them.

The dreaming me is now the lonely sea

Cressida flies between some Einst Glied as she entangles one with her rifles barbed tail ín a Demon Bind and blasts a hole in another before swinging the entangled Glied into some Knochen. Spiraling into the air she fires her howling launcher downwards as planty tentacles seize and restrain her, only to be cut loose by a leaping Vinson in a single stroke, his broadsword drawn.

Landing, Vinson rushes through the hordes of Knochen and Glied, slicing and dicing with the various weapons modes as he runs into an Einst Gemuet, where changes to the broadsword mode and cleaves it in half vertically. As we see the Gemuet split in half from behind, Vinson finds himself surrounded. Then a magma dragon worms through the einst and consumes them as Liana joins Vinson in the circle.

Liana smacks a Knochen away while shooting a Glied as Seiryuu Hazanken whips about as though it were Liana's tail. Grabbing Vinson by the arm and leaping into the sky, a magic formation appears underneath them as a giant rock appears through it and crushes a good number of Einst.

Well, I'm not sure but I think CrosyS is slated for the StrikerS timeline, I-n's is for the later part. Pretty much every OC is involved except the newer ones. I'm not sure about Meophist's OC's because he has an arc of his own. While the Caster/Rein1 arc is a joint collaboration of me, Kha, An Hero, Nightengale and Keroko. But the exact time for this is still up to Kha.

Vincent: Done! Now, I'll be taking-

*He suddenly goes down on the ground and starts vomiting*

Satoshi: So....how many seconds was that, Cipher?

Cipher: About 3.79 seconds.

Satoshi: Thanks. *To Vincent, who's still vomiting* I'll be taking this.

Vincent:*a break in the vomiting* Screw you, man...*starts vomiting again*

I suppose I am probably just a burden to the Time Space Administration Bureau... I'm often shuttled around, never permanently attached to any of the Bureau's three branches, occasionally moved around to protect who or what they call 'high priority targets'. I don't consider myself the queen of shields, and the 'storm' part of it somewhat intrigues me, as I'm not proficient in the use of lightning. Whatever the case may be, at least I am treated rather well, even if people seem cold towards me. The superiors must have some reason for this, though...

Today...it looks like I have some deployment orders... it seems I am supposed to be at this...world to protect something they call a 'lost logia'. I really don't know what this is, but it sounds rather important. I should get started now, anyway...the rock like world this 'lost logia' is located is rather far, and I should probably get there earlier.
Summoning my barrier jacket, I leapt onto a nearby rooftop where I could begin my spell without interfering anyone, especially someone higher up than me.
"...I'm ready...so...Sargeant, I need access for long distance teleportation to the planet listed on my assignment..."
A short pause, before a gruff male voice replied with the affirmative I needed. Without wasting a moment, I brought up all the necessary data and prepared to make my journey, laying down the familiar Mid-Childan array that I used for many, if not all of my spells. I heard myself mutter the coordinates that I were to arrive at, the central outpost of this 'lost logia' excavation. A couple seconds later, I finished my incantation and the Mid-Childan landscape vanished from my eyes. In its place were ragged peaks and a ravaged skyline. Without even thinking about it, I raised my arm to block the heavy gaze of the twin massive suns above. This place was a deserty waste, apparently, because the land up to the horizon was filled with nothing more than sharp crags and tall rocky spires sticking up like nubs every here and there. It was then I noticed that I was slightly off on my calculation, and had arrived farther from the camp than I had expected. I wrote it off as something I should have somebody check out later when I wrote my report, but something in the back of my mind felt as though it weren't just something that I should ignore.
Leaping into the heavy air, I began flying towards the place I should have warped into, but didn't. Unfortunately, something seemed to be happening. I sped up to have a closer look, and immediately regretted making the earlier mistake. It seemed as though the outskirts of the encampment were swarming with what seemed to be giant floating silver pellets of doom as the outnumbered and overwhelmed Enforcers were barely holding the line in the middle.
My Mid-Childan array appeared again and I stopped to cast my spell, hoping that this pause wouldn't be too lethal to the beleagured colleagues of mine. I vanished again and reappeared in the middle of the circle of Bureau members, casting my Distortion Field technique as soon as I appeared, with my device activated. The Enforcers' collective surprise turned to relief as they looked behind them and saw a little girl single-handedly holding off
what they together could not defeat.
"I'm sorry. I should have been here earlier...but I'll try to make up for it. My callsign is 'Stormshield'. I think I can try to stop them... I have free reign from the headquarters as long as it saves everyone..."
Calling Dracatougueze into its active form, as well as the fingerless gloves with that enigmatic insignia, I mentally prepared myself for what seemed to be an easy task, although I knew that the combination of my weakness of my offense and the opponent's unknown abilities would make my mission harder. Still holding up the barrier, I prepared to at least mount a decent offense. I pointed my finger at the nearest foes, and several balls of purple-blue energy began collecting a short distance away from my outstretched hand.
"Dracatougueze...!"
The device replied. "Fine. Glacial Spike. Replicate."
The small amount of energy launched themselves with my guidance towards the targets, taking the first down rather easily. However, it's companions began to emit some sort of purpleish aura, which simply dissolved my spell on contact. Clenching my fist in some sort of self-disappointment, a panicky voice to the left of me explained.
"It's their ability, some sort of Anti-Magic Field which cancels out magic within a certain distance. The reason why we can't defeat these enemies is because their field is stronger than our attacks."
Field is stronger than our...attack...? if this... Anti-Magic Field can defeat my Glacial Spike...and it seems to be a sphere like barrier...what should I do...
"We can't stay forever like this." My device piped up. It would be a simple matter of life or death for these brave Enforcers if I couldn't handle the strain and my Distortion Field collapsed. Though...if I did defeat all of these drones, it wouldn't really matter... the Enforcers were the problem. I had to do something about them. There were about nine or so of these men and women, one holding a large black, rather boxy case which I assumed to be the 'lost logia'. Thinking back to my earlier mistake, I realized how badly it could end if I tried to defeat all of the drones and failed, but I also thought up a different idea.
"Umm...I don't think I can hold out much longer... I'm going to transfer all of you back to Mid-Childa...is that alright...?"
In the heat of the moment, it was probably the best choice for them.
"Dimensional Transfer...location...Mid-Childa...coordinates, one, zero, zero..." I continued by multitasking, concentrating more on holding up the barrier than teleporting the Enforcers. Another mistake, probably, but it would be better to teleport the Enforcers to anywhere on Mid-Childa than to have them die at the hands of these drones. I finished my incantation, swung Dracatougueze, and my companions abandoned me on this wasteland. I wasted no time getting to business. I teleported upwards and allowed the drones to attempt to follow me skywards. Apparently these drones weren't capable of anything higher than hovering, so I should use that to my advantage. As they can't reach me up here, this would be a good place to attempt a risky move...right?
I decided to take a middle road first, and try the same trick again except on a larger scale. Again, my device chanted its monotonous phrase, and Glacial Spike leapt into being, this time summoning about a dozen of these projectiles before I launched them into the midst of the gray mass of drones. To my dismay, the Anti-Magic Field collectively dissapated my attack before even one could connect. I definitely needed bigger firepower, and despite the back of my mind asking me to try something else, the rest of my mind convinced me that I needed to settle this now, lest I risk the danger of hurting myself too much.
My array expanded to nearly twice its usual size, and energy leapt into being around me in every direction. The growing strain was probably physically noticable by now, as I began breathing much harder than I ever have had to for a while now. I needed to end this soon, and this would be the ideal place and time to do so. If I failed now, I probably wouldn't survive in one piece. Who knows what drones would do to a simple program such as myself? Ten, twenty, thirty, forty glowing balls of energy. I couldn't hold this up forever, so I acted.
Pointing in the direction of the massed drones now in the center of the abandoned outpost, I again allowed my device to do the honors of saying the two words that comprised my strongest offensive spell.

"Excelion. Buster."

I landed amidst the smoking carcasses of the now defunct drones, surrounded by the devastated buildings that the machines had metaphorically gutted. Even though I had saved the Enforcers here, as well as the 'Lost Logia', I couldn't prevent the destruction of the outpost. Had I arrived at the right place, I could have placed a protective field...and this mutilation of Bureau property could have been prevented. Sighing and mentally stabbing myself, I raised my device once more on this planet, and left this burning waste.

She did great! She should stop being so depreciating on herself.

USB500 - I think it's a reference to Kususha's infamous drinks in the SRWOG universe. IIRC there's only a couple men that can stand up to her drink, and the characters in that game often advise each other on avoiding her drink, and they often make up ludicrous excuses to get away from Kususha when she offers them this nutrition drink.

OK, first, I'd like to apologize to An Hero in Disguise, as apparently the way I explained myself led everyone to believe that I want Serge nerfed. Personally, I dont. In any universe there are people better than others, and in Serge's case it is because of his innate ability of Flow Manipulation, an ability that An Hero explained to be extremely rare. Serge may very well be the only person alive with such ability. Also, Serge can very well be that "last boss" every other OC is planning to beat at some point. The idea that I really wanted to portray was the fact that Serge is only 2 years old than our Aces, yet at the time of the battle against the Aces, he was so much more experienced than them, being able to defeat them one by one without much problem.

No problem. You should wait a bit and see Aurion's encounter with Serge later on. I'm nearing that point in my scenario. We're going for a compromised truce. The threats are going both ways and there will be a lot of tension involved.

Hahah. Gwendolyn would have no chance against Serge. All her attacks are magic based, like Nanoha's, so Serge would own her in no time.

C'mon, Aether Threads are not indestructable, you know. Stop bellitling your own power pack. By the way, Gwendolyn has unlimited energy but limited output, correct?

“Siege Cannon Division! Load Giga-Cartridges… FIRE!!!”



As I ordered, the giant siege cannons, powered by an over-sized Belkan Cartridge System along with handler-mages, fired a continuous barrage of heavy and powerful blast of concentrated magical burst, perpetuating a blaze of flames, putting the front-guards of the opposition forces, their guardian beast, up in flames.



From beyond the flames, another surge of enemies rushed through, and the battles raged on….

Amidst the scenes of bloodshed, hidden in the sights of the rampage of gore and destruction… formations of magical circles can be seen as a small group of mages were chanting…

A summoning circle!

From within the crops of shrouding smokes…several knights were taken by surprise as they were brutally attacked and chopped into pieces by the summoned beast monsters… The most dangerous kind, brutal and carnivorous…

If it was 2 years ago… I would’ve commanded a reformation, but I have faith. These men…have fought with me, just as they understands me…I know, that they can fight accordingly.

However… I had seen this before. Yes, in one of my first battles as the General… I remember that day like a pained memory.

A growl, a monstrous cry, it shouted just as a gust of wind flew by…and a man was standing atop the gigantic beast, and within an instant.



“Load Cartridge!”

[Explosion!]

The monster’s head was decapitated.



Isdera… Just like that day, that night, that battle. Has it really been 2 years now?

The battles raged on, severed limbs, lost lives, screams of agony, the break-down of those whose hearts are weak, the resolution of those who have accepted death in the battlefield, life, death…time moved on, as the moments passes, waiting for no man. There is no one who will see to another’s death in battle, there is no one to offer condolences, there is only yourself, and your fellow comrades, all whom are struggling to live.

It seemed almost equal at first… but as the defense lines of both sides were slowly crippling, at the expense of the increasing corpses on the battlefield…

As expected, this battle is dangerous to us.

The terrain and landscape of this battleground is the enemy’s ground, that by itself is a major disadvantage to our conditional settings… What’s worse, the open plains of the terrain leading towards the capital are wide and long-reaching, making it a sheer impossibility to utilize more compressed tactics and strategy. The conditioning and morale of both sides are about equal… which means structure-breaking, command-disposing and attritional battles are the only ways that are truly viable.

But this battle…we’re outnumbered 3 to 1. And Wira’s not fit for battle, his blood supply still being at 60%... It’s too dangerous to fight a prolonged battle, which means the structural settings itself is not as strong as the Wolkenritter’s commanded lines… Only Astra, Isdera and myself…

Looks like…there’s no other choice, but “that.”

~Astra~

This battle…this is not good. The flux of energies in the field… it’s still stable, but the fluctuation is leaning towards the south…which means, that we’re being slowly, but surely pushed back.

Damn it…why must I be blind when it’s needed the least? It’s too dangerous to use my chains around the middle lines… since I can’t differentiate Linker Core reactions other than Isdera’s…

Establishing a mental link, I tried to call out to Saga…

“Sa-“

“Wait…Astra-sensei.”

My mental link was cut off, as Wira appeared behind me… I couldn’t sense his presence at all...

“What is it, Wira? As you can see, I’m busy. The one who’s half-dead is better off resting. Your strength will be needed later.”

“Half dead…You’re right. I might be dead soon…My life is very close to its end.”

I turned around following Wira’s lubricious suicidal talk only to see Wira…smiling, in a most sad way… his eyes, empty, without any sense of feelings. He…wasn’t joking.

“Why…?”

“The truth is…”

~Saga~

Standing atop the cliff…I am watching my comrades die. It’s painful, but it is my role. As much as I am a knight, I am also their leader.

Wait…Just wait… The time should be soon.

“General… Our flanks are losing. We cannot win with our current strength. Should we retreat for now?”

… I really cannot keep up my composure after all… I know what the strategist is saying, but if we fall back… we will really lose everything, emotionally and spiritually. To come back and fight again after this…there’s no doubt we’ll face an even more severe loss.

“Astra! In 15 seconds, teleport Wira, you and myself, towards Isdera’s coordinates. Make no mistake in the mass calculations.”

“Understood, General.”

After my mental communication to Astra, the strategist vehemently opposed my plans.

“That is too reckless, General! You are needed to be in command. The knights can be replaced, but your pos-“

I snapped as I grabbed him and held by his collar, pulling him up.

“Replaced, you say? My comrades are dying… All of them…are fighting for their lives, because they believe in a future that is possible from their sacrifice…

They are all fighting for their lives. And I will fight as well.

Stand aside.”

Soon…I teleported away to the battlefield with Astra’s magic… and before me, knights lashed out as the battle ensues directly in front of me, all of the Zerstroritter assembled as one.

“General! Astra! Wira..You’re all here.”

“Sorry for the delay…how’s things up front?”

“The left flank…has just been breached. The enemies are focusing their forces there…”

“Then, we should!”

“No… their focused attacks had left them open near the center….”

“Are you saying?”

“Yes…we’ll use this opportunity to strike the command post of the enemy’s.”

Clearly…none of us were happy with what we did. Just as our comrades, just below us were screaming, struggling and hopelessly dying from the concentrated enemy forces…we did nothing, but flew by them and took advantage of that even as their cries resonates deep and far beyond our ears, into our hearts, we can only bear that pain and responsibility…as the few of us, just enough as a forward strike force aimed towards the enemy epicenter.

We flew as fast as we could, myself holding Isdera, as Astra held Wira, evading enemy fires, striking down several stationary defense posts…we flew so hard, the winds were hitting our eyes, our skin, it was a feeling of pain that is miniscule, yet carry so much weight. It was something our armors could easily prevent with a thicker manifestation, but we chose to accept it… It was the symbol of the burden we bear.

That is why…we must win.

Soon… as we approached the command center... the Palace of the Night Sky…

An array of powerful attacks, digging out the dirt of the grounds before us…leaving behind craters of scorched earth… Our tracks were stopped as the 2 Knights of the Wolkenritter, stood before us.

“I’ll never allow any of us to get to the Princess.”

“Saladin! I will kill you!! I will avenge Tesla!!” (( No, Tesla’s not dead, but her injury’s too serious. ))

Just as I’m about to draw out Null… Isdera…and Wira stopped me.

“Go… we’ll hold them off.”

“You…”

Their eyes…they’re determined to see this to the very end. Isdera and the Blazing General…Wira and the Iron Count… how ironic, that the counterparts I chose to be the equalizer to the Wolkenritter will finally end it all here.

“Don’t die, the both of you.”

“Naturally.”

“…”

“Let’s go, Astra.”

This is the last hurdle. The flying castle of the Night Sky…, a lost relic of ancient times...soon, everything will end.

It’s painful… This conjunction, of magical spells, maintaining its pressure… Unlike before, I can no longer put too much pressure on my body. Otherwise… my child, Saga’s child may…

But I need to complete it…combining the effects of Mandrake with Ragnarok Breaker’s status effects…

Saladin will be here soon.

And then… I must defeat him…No, I will defeat him.

And then…everything will end…

Next part shouldn't take TOO long...Since I'll be throwing in bits of Signum/Isdera and Vita/Wira along with some Shamal/Astra... expect some sap soon. And maybe...just maybe, we'll cover Saga/Tiara too.

Elio was no different from Fate...He was Signum's direct subordinate. Signum was someone Elio...no, everyone who was in the RF6 respected and looked up to.

"You wouldn't understand even if I told you...Elio-kun."

Her eyes was sad. But it was not of defeat, it was not of dishonor...it was because of Elio's words.

As I ordered, the giant siege cannons, powered by an over-sized Belkan Cartridge System along with handler-mages, fired a continuous barrage of heavy and powerful blast of concentrated magical burst, perpetuating a blaze of flames, putting the front-guards of the opposition forces, their guardian beast, up in flames.



From beyond the flames, another surge of enemies rushed through, and the battles raged on….

Amidst the scenes of bloodshed, hidden in the sights of the rampage of gore and destruction… formations of magical circles can be seen as a small group of mages were chanting…

A summoning circle!

From within the crops of shrouding smokes…several knights were taken by surprise as they were brutally attacked and chopped into pieces by the summoned beast monsters… The most dangerous kind, brutal and carnivorous…

If it was 2 years ago… I would’ve commanded a reformation, but I have faith. These men…have fought with me, just as they understands me…I know, that they can fight accordingly.

However… I had seen this before. Yes, in one of my first battles as the General… I remember that day like a pained memory.

A growl, a monstrous cry, it shouted just as a gust of wind flew by…and a man was standing atop the gigantic beast, and within an instant.



“Load Cartridge!”

[Explosion!]

The monster’s head was decapitated.



Isdera… Just like that day, that night, that battle. Has it really been 2 years now?

The battles raged on, severed limbs, lost lives, screams of agony, the break-down of those whose hearts are weak, the resolution of those who have accepted death in the battlefield, life, death…time moved on, as the moments passes, waiting for no man. There is no one who will see to another’s death in battle, there is no one to offer condolences, there is only yourself, and your fellow comrades, all whom are struggling to live.

It seemed almost equal at first… but as the defense lines of both sides were slowly crippling, at the expense of the increasing corpses on the battlefield…

As expected, this battle is dangerous to us.

The terrain and landscape of this battleground is the enemy’s ground, that by itself is a major disadvantage to our conditional settings… What’s worse, the open plains of the terrain leading towards the capital are wide and long-reaching, making it a sheer impossibility to utilize more compressed tactics and strategy. The conditioning and morale of both sides are about equal… which means structure-breaking, command-disposing and attritional battles are the only ways that are truly viable.

But this battle…we’re outnumbered 3 to 1. And Wira’s not fit for battle, his blood supply still being at 60%... It’s too dangerous to fight a prolonged battle, which means the structural settings itself is not as strong as the Wolkenritter’s commanded lines… Only Astra, Isdera and myself…

Looks like…there’s no other choice, but “that.”

~Astra~

This battle…this is not good. The flux of energies in the field… it’s still stable, but the fluctuation is leaning towards the south…which means, that we’re being slowly, but surely pushed back.

Damn it…why must I be blind when it’s needed the least? It’s too dangerous to use my chains around the middle lines… since I can’t differentiate Linker Core reactions other than Isdera’s…

Establishing a mental link, I tried to call out to Saga…

“Sa-“

“Wait…Astra-sensei.”

My mental link was cut off, as Wira appeared behind me… I couldn’t sense his presence at all...

“What is it, Wira? As you can see, I’m busy. The one who’s half-dead is better off resting. Your strength will be needed later.”

“Half dead…You’re right. I might be dead soon…My life is very close to its end.”

I turned around following Wira’s lubricious suicidal talk only to see Wira…smiling, in a most sad way… his eyes, empty, without any sense of feelings. He…wasn’t joking.

“Why…?”

“The truth is…”

~Saga~

Standing atop the cliff…I am watching my comrades die. It’s painful, but it is my role. As much as I am a knight, I am also their leader.

Wait…Just wait… The time should be soon.

“General… Our flanks are losing. We cannot win with our current strength. Should we retreat for now?”

… I really cannot keep up my composure after all… I know what the strategist is saying, but if we fall back… we will really lose everything, emotionally and spiritually. To come back and fight again after this…there’s no doubt we’ll face an even more severe loss.

“Astra! In 15 seconds, teleport Wira, you and myself, towards Isdera’s coordinates. Make no mistake in the mass calculations.”

“Understood, General.”

After my mental communication to Astra, the strategist vehemently opposed my plans.

“That is too reckless, General! You are needed to be in command. The knights can be replaced, but your pos-“

I snapped as I grabbed him and held by his collar, pulling him up.

“Replaced, you say? My comrades are dying… All of them…are fighting for their lives, because they believe in a future that is possible from their sacrifice…

They are all fighting for their lives. And I will fight as well.

Stand aside.”

Soon…I teleported away to the battlefield with Astra’s magic… and before me, knights lashed out as the battle ensues directly in front of me, all of the Zerstroritter assembled as one.

“General! Astra! Wira..You’re all here.”

“Sorry for the delay…how’s things up front?”

“The left flank…has just been breached. The enemies are focusing their forces there…”

“Then, we should!”

“No… their focused attacks had left them open near the center….”

“Are you saying?”

“Yes…we’ll use this opportunity to strike the command post of the enemy’s.”

Clearly…none of us were happy with what we did. Just as our comrades, just below us were screaming, struggling and hopelessly dying from the concentrated enemy forces…we did nothing, but flew by them and took advantage of that even as their cries resonates deep and far beyond our ears, into our hearts, we can only bear that pain and responsibility…as the few of us, just enough as a forward strike force aimed towards the enemy epicenter.

We flew as fast as we could, myself holding Isdera, as Astra held Wira, evading enemy fires, striking down several stationary defense posts…we flew so hard, the winds were hitting our eyes, our skin, it was a feeling of pain that is miniscule, yet carry so much weight. It was something our armors could easily prevent with a thicker manifestation, but we chose to accept it… It was the symbol of the burden we bear.

That is why…we must win.

Soon… as we approached the command center... the Palace of the Night Sky…

An array of powerful attacks, digging out the dirt of the grounds before us…leaving behind craters of scorched earth… Our tracks were stopped as the 2 Knights of the Wolkenritter, stood before us.

“I’ll never allow any of us to get to the Princess.”

“Saladin! I will kill you!! I will avenge Tesla!!” (( No, Tesla’s not dead, but her injury’s too serious. ))

Just as I’m about to draw out Null… Isdera…and Wira stopped me.

“Go… we’ll hold them off.”

“You…”

Their eyes…they’re determined to see this to the very end. Isdera and the Blazing General…Wira and the Iron Count… how ironic, that the counterparts I chose to be the equalizer to the Wolkenritter will finally end it all here.

“Don’t die, the both of you.”

“Naturally.”

“…”

“Let’s go, Astra.”

This is the last hurdle. The flying castle of the Night Sky…, a lost relic of ancient times...soon, everything will end.

It’s painful… This conjunction, of magical spells, maintaining its pressure… Unlike before, I can no longer put too much pressure on my body. Otherwise… my child, Saga’s child may…

But I need to complete it…combining the effects of Mandrake with Ragnarok Breaker’s status effects…

Saladin will be here soon.

And then… I must defeat him…No, I will defeat him.

And then…everything will end…

Next part shouldn't take TOO long...Since I'll be throwing in bits of Signum/Isdera and Vita/Wira along with some Shamal/Astra... expect some sap soon. And maybe...just maybe, we'll cover Saga/Tiara too.

Well, his face mask is only active during Drei's Ceremonial mode. Other times, his face is visible, and currently, he's in Null mode, so 80% of the time, he's unmasked.

Well, I'll just say this... him wearing a mask or not won't matter one bit. Any more is spoiler.

And there's no guarentee I'd would actually write that Siglio into a full-fledged fic... It's pretty much the eternal time-spiral kind of story from Baby Caro -> Caro-> teenage Caro -> Ancient Signum - > Hayate's Signum - > Memories restored Signum -> Baby Caro without memories and it goes on an eternal spiral, and even I'm having problems conveying the feel, much less actually write it, so who knows?

Hm, I should clarify this. What I meant was that I don't really get the references, and I accept that they're not really that important in the story, but several other things happen:

I lose the "nuance" of the characters. Essentially, to me, the references are just another name or term which could very well be all-original. So, to take an example, assuming Kha (or someone else; just using your character as an example, Kha) uses the Goldion Hammer (the name of which I've heard before, but no more), I don't really have any idea why this is significant. Okay, it is, from the name, a hammer. From context, it's probably powerful or big or whatever. But that's all I'm getting, and all the excitement about it is puzzling, to say the least.

More importantly, since I don't know the reference, all I can do is smile and nod and wait for the conversation to turn to something I recognize. We have this Shared OC Alterverse which I'd love to take part in, but since I know next to nothing about the Necrons from WH40K, I can't write anything about the 37th CIAA meeting them, since I may get things completely wrong. (It'll be a pain to just wing it, get corrected, edit, get corrected again, and edit again, ad infinitum.) So all I can do is try to glean some information about just what these Necrons are from context, and as mentioned, it's not very well explained.

Now, I'm not saying that references are bad. Heck, the 37th CIAA and 8th IAR have their own fair share of references, ranging from the character archetypes to Lila (Specialized Heuristic Organized Data Access Node number 43893, anyone?). However, I'm seeing what looks like references taking over the characters and turning into crossovers.

Basically, the question is such: you've made a reference in the character. Now, assuming that there is someone else who has absolutely no idea what that reference is, can they come in and use that character and lose nothing at all in the translation?

Off the side of her head gear muzzle flashes were reflected as the view turns to Mikoto.

Through the fragments we see Fox Chaser shots refracted as Feena is doing her own dance of death.

As the guitar plays the inflamed thoughts

Feena is keeping a clean circle around herself as three Fox Chasers arc and curve around her, forcing the shadows back for the moment. But then the shadows surge forward faster than Feena can dispatch them with the Fox Chasers. However, Feena does not flinch as she spread her arms, the orbs on her gauntlets and hip armor glow in affirmation as a triple beam lances out from Feena in the form of Trinity Buster. As the line of fire clears, a large shield could be seen as Erika slams the shield arm into a nearby opponent to continue fighting.

Erika swaps the shield arm for a thunder gauntlet as she kicks one back and slams the gauntlet into the ground for a lightning bolt fissure. Blocking a blow, she changes arms midswing into a flaming punch as the burning opponent is knocked back and into multiple people by the sheer force. Erika punches her fists together as all six converge back to back as the view spirals into the sky to show the horde of black around the 6.

The larger shadows strike out at the light, but are slashed aside by Kusanagi and Murakumo as it makes contact with the large shadow, the impact turning the night into blinding day. When the light completely blinds the screen, it zooms out to Mabiko and the girls looking into the starry sky from the white roof of the base.

Uuuuu...I don't think I have enough inspiration to go through the 2nd part of the song quite yet.

First time I've heard Garnet Moon, but damn does this song kick ass... know where I can get it?

Must say your scenes work well with the music, especially the transitions amongst the Kitsune Musume

Amidst the scenes of bloodshed, hidden in the sights of the rampage of gore and destruction… formations of magical circles can be seen as a small group of mages were chanting…

A summoning circle!

From within the crops of shrouding smokes…several knights were taken by surprise as they were brutally attacked and chopped into pieces by the summoned beast monsters… The most dangerous kind, brutal and carnivorous…

If it was 2 years ago… I would’ve commanded a reformation, but I have faith. These men…have fought with me, just as they understands me…I know, that they can fight accordingly.

However… I had seen this before. Yes, in one of my first battles as the General… I remember that day like a pained memory.

A growl, a monstrous cry, it shouted just as a gust of wind flew by…and a man was standing atop the gigantic beast, and within an instant.



“Load Cartridge!”

[Explosion!]

The monster’s head was decapitated.



Isdera… Just like that day, that night, that battle. Has it really been 2 years now?

The battles raged on, severed limbs, lost lives, screams of agony, the break-down of those whose hearts are weak, the resolution of those who have accepted death in the battlefield, life, death…time moved on, as the moments passes, waiting for no man. There is no one who will see to another’s death in battle, there is no one to offer condolences, there is only yourself, and your fellow comrades, all whom are struggling to live.

It seemed almost equal at first… but as the defense lines of both sides were slowly crippling, at the expense of the increasing corpses on the battlefield…

As expected, this battle is dangerous to us.

The terrain and landscape of this battleground is the enemy’s ground, that by itself is a major disadvantage to our conditional settings… What’s worse, the open plains of the terrain leading towards the capital are wide and long-reaching, making it a sheer impossibility to utilize more compressed tactics and strategy. The conditioning and morale of both sides are about equal… which means structure-breaking, command-disposing and attritional battles are the only ways that are truly viable.

But this battle…we’re outnumbered 3 to 1. And Wira’s not fit for battle, his blood supply still being at 60%... It’s too dangerous to fight a prolonged battle, which means the structural settings itself is not as strong as the Wolkenritter’s commanded lines… Only Astra, Isdera and myself…

Looks like…there’s no other choice, but “that.”

~Astra~

This battle…this is not good. The flux of energies in the field… it’s still stable, but the fluctuation is leaning towards the south…which means, that we’re being slowly, but surely pushed back.

Damn it…why must I be blind when it’s needed the least? It’s too dangerous to use my chains around the middle lines… since I can’t differentiate Linker Core reactions other than Isdera’s…

Establishing a mental link, I tried to call out to Saga…

“Sa-“

“Wait…Astra-sensei.”

My mental link was cut off, as Wira appeared behind me… I couldn’t sense his presence at all...

“What is it, Wira? As you can see, I’m busy. The one who’s half-dead is better off resting. Your strength will be needed later.”

“Half dead…You’re right. I might be dead soon…My life is very close to its end.”

I turned around following Wira’s lubricious suicidal talk only to see Wira…smiling, in a most sad way… his eyes, empty, without any sense of feelings. He…wasn’t joking.

“Why…?”

“The truth is…”

~Saga~

Standing atop the cliff…I am watching my comrades die. It’s painful, but it is my role. As much as I am a knight, I am also their leader.

Wait…Just wait… The time should be soon.

“General… Our flanks are losing. We cannot win with our current strength. Should we retreat for now?”

… I really cannot keep up my composure after all… I know what the strategist is saying, but if we fall back… we will really lose everything, emotionally and spiritually. To come back and fight again after this…there’s no doubt we’ll face an even more severe loss.

“Astra! In 15 seconds, teleport Wira, you and myself, towards Isdera’s coordinates. Make no mistake in the mass calculations.”

“Understood, General.”

After my mental communication to Astra, the strategist vehemently opposed my plans.

“That is too reckless, General! You are needed to be in command. The knights can be replaced, but your pos-“

I snapped as I grabbed him and held by his collar, pulling him up.

“Replaced, you say? My comrades are dying… All of them…are fighting for their lives, because they believe in a future that is possible from their sacrifice…

They are all fighting for their lives. And I will fight as well.

Stand aside.”

Soon…I teleported away to the battlefield with Astra’s magic… and before me, knights lashed out as the battle ensues directly in front of me, all of the Zerstroritter assembled as one.

“General! Astra! Wira..You’re all here.”

“Sorry for the delay…how’s things up front?”

“The left flank…has just been breached. The enemies are focusing their forces there…”

“Then, we should!”

“No… their focused attacks had left them open near the center….”

“Are you saying?”

“Yes…we’ll use this opportunity to strike the command post of the enemy’s.”

Clearly…none of us were happy with what we did. Just as our comrades, just below us were screaming, struggling and hopelessly dying from the concentrated enemy forces…we did nothing, but flew by them and took advantage of that even as their cries resonates deep and far beyond our ears, into our hearts, we can only bear that pain and responsibility…as the few of us, just enough as a forward strike force aimed towards the enemy epicenter.

We flew as fast as we could, myself holding Isdera, as Astra held Wira, evading enemy fires, striking down several stationary defense posts…we flew so hard, the winds were hitting our eyes, our skin, it was a feeling of pain that is miniscule, yet carry so much weight. It was something our armors could easily prevent with a thicker manifestation, but we chose to accept it… It was the symbol of the burden we bear.

That is why…we must win.

Soon… as we approached the command center... the Palace of the Night Sky…

[Schwalbe Fliegen!]

[Sturm Falke!]

An array of powerful attacks, digging out the dirt of the grounds before us…leaving behind craters of scorched earth… Our tracks were stopped as the 2 Knights of the Wolkenritter, stood before us.

“I’ll never allow any of us to get to the Princess.”

“Saladin! I will kill you!! I will avenge Tesla!!” (( No, Tesla’s not dead, but her injury’s too serious. ))

Just as I’m about to draw out Null… Isdera…and Wira stopped me.

“Go… we’ll hold them off.”

“You…”

Their eyes…they’re determined to see this to the very end. Isdera and the Blazing General…Wira and the Iron Count… how ironic, that the counterparts I chose to be the equalizer to the Wolkenritter will finally end it all here.

“Don’t die, the both of you.”

“Naturally.”

“…”

“Let’s go, Astra.”

This is the last hurdle. The flying castle of the Night Sky…, a lost relic of ancient times...soon, everything will end.



~Tiara~

It’s painful… This conjunction, of magical spells, maintaining its pressure… Unlike before, I can no longer put too much pressure on my body. Otherwise… my child, Saga’s child may…

But I need to complete it…combining the effects of Mandrake with Ragnarok Breaker’s status effects…

Saladin will be here soon.

And then… I must defeat him…No, I will defeat him.

And then…everything will end…

Next part shouldn't take TOO long...Since I'll be throwing in bits of Signum/Isdera and Vita/Wira along with some Shamal/Astra... expect some sap soon. And maybe...just maybe, we'll cover Saga/Tiara too.

As the blurs of the motion clear, as the fleeting spurs of the air stable... it was clear...

"What is the meaning of this!? Signum! Answer me!" Fate shouted, her face diswrought from confusion and question, seeing her very own 2nd in command in an act that can be considered a betrayal to everything.

Signum...the least likely person, the one no one would remotely doubt, was betraying everything she stood and fought for.

"Testarossa...no...Fate-san. I have not betrayed anyone."

"You've improved, Elio-..." Signum spoke, her face silent, unwavering, despite dropping her blade with Strada milimeters away from her face.

"What is the meaning of this...Signum-san? Why? Why are you doing this?"

Elio was no different from Fate...He was Signum's direct subordinate. Signum was someone Elio...no, everyone who was in the RF6 respected and looked up to.

"You wouldn't understand even if I told you...Elio-kun."

Her eyes was sad. But it was not of defeat, it was not of dishonor...it was because of Elio's words.

Why? Why? No one understood. But she knew...Signum knew what her choices would lead her to.

Why must this torture continue?!?! The suspense is killing me!! Can't wait to see the Saga/Tiara meeting, and now that the Special Forces have arrived, how all of them fight with their respective rivals once more

(It'll be a pain to just wing it, get corrected, edit, get corrected again, and edit again, ad infinitum.) So all I can do is try to glean some information about just what these Necrons are from context, and as mentioned, it's not very well explained.

Now, I'm not saying that references are bad. Heck, the 37th CIAA and 8th IAR have their own fair share of references, ranging from the character archetypes to Lila (Specialized Heuristic Organized Data Access Node number 43893, anyone?). However, I'm seeing what looks like references taking over the characters and turning into crossovers.

Basically, the question is such: you've made a reference in the character. Now, assuming that there is someone else who has absolutely no idea what that reference is, can they come in and use that character and lose nothing at all in the translation?

I understand what you're saying, and yep that's a significant problem: At best, a reference enhances appreciation of something by providing it with a familiar yet unfamiliar element that you've identified with before. If you know it, it's good, but you don't lose anything if you don't. At worse, it can be just a blatant rip-off, which requires absolute knowledge of its source material

And I'm not sure about not well explained - some of Glock's chapters are dedicated to explaining who and what the Necron are
