She's never had a scythe. What you're probably thinking of is the ceremonial item she uses for Watanagashi.

Lol, that's totally her best in Daybreak Kai, but as for the anime.... She's pretty much defenseless most of the time I'd say XD

She had one on the cover of Minagoroshi-hen but I think that's about it.

Really? It's a lot different from the one in the anime version so I thought it wasn't.

It has a "cute" little bell, so it likely ceremonial. The hoe like thing Rika had in the snime seems better to move cotton, while that nasty looking thing above would do fine cutting into a human.

She comes for your soul. She will rip it from your living body with a simple "mii" or a full on "nipah". Fear her and her cuteness.

Yes they are fragments of time. A fitting weapon for the Witch of the Fragments.

Cults...Yeaaaa....?
Nightmare?Higurashi isn't nightmare-e,unless you live in Hinamizawa.

...Funimation/Geneon did a good thing...The epicness of Higurashi prevails!

Indeed. The only thing more epic I can think of is if Tsukiotoshi-hen and Miotsukushi-hen got released in manga form (I know, I have wild fantasies O_O ).

Here's hoping that Funi/Geneon does this series right!

Does anyone have images of the actual artbox? It would be nice to be able to see it in its entirety. Chewy already posted some but the links don't work anymore.

Huh... I just looked at Best Buy's entries for "When They Cry." Now there's something there called "When They Cry: Starter Set" and I have no idea what that means. Think it's the original box set?

Yes it is. Look at the release date and the price.

Starter set? That's basically a single volume with the box set's box shrink wrapped with it right?

Looks like I've read Hareoic's post a bit too fast. No it's not the boxset, it's the first volume and the artbox.
