Now it's much more clear what happened in the past: Beatrice not only exists in the so called real world, but she temptes people in order to accomplish her own goals.
Anyway, returning to my "parallel worlds" fear: I don't want that to happen, at all. I mean I don't want to see some episodes and believing some things, then be told they were all fake or wait... they were not entirely fake, there was some truth after all!
Even worse: I don't want episodes which cannot be understood by anime-only watchers... I still remember some episodes of Ergo Proxy, which required the actual episode and ten pages of analysis in fans' blogs, to HOPE to understand them a bit. I mean I'm the first one who hates oversimplified plot (=harem anime, just to make an example), but I hate overcomplicated plots as well. I think anime are just a way to spend free time, so they should never become too difficult to understand.
Boy did you pick the wrong series. This is by the same person that wrote Higurashi and you've just knocked about everyone of his stchicks.

Did I say I dislike Umineko so far? If I'm here it's because I'm enjoying this and anyway I even stated that I like complex plots... the only thing I want is that the anime is self-explanatory, that's all. It doesn't mean it must be simple: it can be complex too, but the most important thing is that the material to understand what happens in the anime is in the anime itself. Then there is the parallel worlds thingy, but that's just my personal taste... to make an example: in anime like Trinity Blood or Chrome Shelled Regios you don't understand anything if you don't read the novels or a summary of them, at least. That's the kind of anime I don't really like...

PS Anyway evreything I say is my personal taste or opinion: it's quite obvious since it's me who is writing and not you...

In fact I dropped Highurashi half-way because it started with the parallel worlds mess...
I hope this won't happen here again!

And why don't you give the "whole parallel worlds mess" a chance?

At the end of Higurashi all of that make sense. That's the whole point, it's not "random parallel worlds" or "they were all fake" at all.

Yeah too bad I wouldn't arrive at the end of the series at all: my brain cells would be dead!
Perhaps I should give Higurashi another chance, but it should be ONE episode per day at most, and after meals, because I don't like the thought of fiding surprises in them...

You're not supposed to finish whole episodes in one sitting lol.

When I tried finishing half an arc of Umineko in one sitting, the next few days I needed to use both hands to keep drool in my mouth.

Me and my friend finished Higurashi 1st season (anime) in one sitting. I read Umineko arcs in one sitting, and I'll say to the other people that it's bad for your health.

Actually I was agreeing in the statements that doing so isn't in the best interest of one's health.

-nods- I completely agree with you.
I marathoned the first season in one night through about mid afternoon the next day, and fell asleep on my keyboard. And I must say, I had some rather... odd... dreams. ^-^; As for Umineko, I decided to take that one a bit slower... although I can honestly say I'm not the same after discovering both of these. xP

I wouldn't be surprised if most of the budget for this show is spent on Beatrice's eyes.

but now what? so is Beatrice really able to be seen by those that are talented? Also why are those two from the orphanage both talented? Is there any hidden agenda with the orphanage or is it just coincident?

So in other word Beatrice is like
Spoiler for higurashi spoiler?:
?

I still cannot figure out what will happen in this arc. This episode only gave us the character backgrounds, which I assume will mostly be correct from the narrator's point of view (c'mon, you can't say that Kanon had an illusion of Jessica playing "very colourful" music). Guess I'll have to wait until next episode to figure out the main theme of this arc then. Will meta-battler make an appearance? probably at the end of the arc maybe.

By the way, can someone pass me my sunglasses? Those lovey-dovey scenes are just too bright for me.

It'd be hard to .

Anyways a nice episode for background. Do wonder about that broken mirror. I mean we can't really trust Beatrice's own explanations for breaking it. Though at the same time it possible she was honest about that.

I can understand Kanon being upset at the end. No matter how much 'help' she gives relationships between servants and children of an extremely wealthy family don't have great chances. Looking at the parents involved it doesn't seem like they'd jump for joy at the prospects.

But yeah Kanon really went Itachi for a while there . Definitely went over the top with the black coat.

Will wonder about Shanon and Kanon being able to see Beatrice. Maybe have some spacial awareness that lets them notice her.

Anyways a personal highlight was Jessica taking out weaponry to beat up on her classmates .

Hah, this episode was a nice one as well.
Kanon going Itachi-style was damn funny XD. He's good at cosplaying xd.
Also George's Tomitake Flash T-shirt was epic! XD

Maybe you should do just a teeny bit of research before you get too into Umineko then. It seems to be a very big plot device for the 'When They Cry' series, and you can almost garuntee since it happened in Higurashi that it will likely happen here too. It's just to be expected, as it's part of the same series as Higurashi is.
