Holycrap looks like Shiho will be the linchpin to being 9arts back. Didn't see that coming since Shioon has gone full avenger. No happy end for that relationship best we could hope for is a begrudging head nod and going their separate ways.

Well Nine Arts Dragon leaving while Shioon is injured is an interesting parallel compare to the differences between the situation of The Breaker and now. The Breaker ending had Nine Arts Dragon with only vengeance in his heart disregarding all other aspects of his shown in The Breaker. He was left in pained in which he chose to use drugs to run away for everything. While this ending has him regain back some of the aspects which he had in The Breaker and chose to confront that pained then run away from it.

While Shioon position also has an interesting parallel compare to when he got his Ki center broken by Nine Arts Draon leaving him to starting over Martial Arts from the beginning without no Ki center while still admiring his master. This time it leaves him no longer admiring his master and him starting over from the beginning with his Ki Center this time. The conclusion may seem a bit anticlimactic between Nine Arts Dragon and Shioon but I do feel it is good conclusion looking at it this way.

Am glad he is dead and kind of enjoyed the 9AD thing. Wish we had more Black threshold Shioon, but oh well. Now i wonder how everyone is to react to seeing his rampage after the moment.

Oh shit, my money's on Ryuuji giving all his clan's arts' books to Shioon to learn his own style OR Shioon abandoning 9arts' style to learn Sunwoo's. Either way very interesting things going on.

Technically bald Ryu practices the same style Shioon and the 9 Arts Dragon does, so he could become Shioon's new master

The bigger implication to worry about is what the Sunwoo clan will do in the future when their Gaju doesn't even practice the same martial arts style they do. If Shioon can't change styles (and from the chapter, it's heavily implied he can't at this point), then his position as the Gaju will indeed by only temporary, or the Sunwoo clan will fall. The clan has no future if they can't pass on their style of martial arts.

Basically, they started talking about how strong Shioon was in his fight with the 9 Arts Dragon despite not having mastered martial arts fully. Then when one of the masters started talking about how Shioon could eventually become even stronger once he learns more martial arts, the other masters pointed out that it would be impossible at this point due to:

-The laws don't permit someone to learn different styles once they committed to a single one, and in Shioon's case he became so used/skilled to the Hyun Chun Ji style that he can't just switch to the Sunwoo style.

-Not having a suitable master who can teach him at this point since the only 2 people masterful in Hyun Chun Ji were the 9 Arts Dragon (who Shioon now wants to kill) and Ryuji (who washed his hands of everything and left), and the Sunwoo can't provide a suitable master now that the 2 strongest in their style died.

This leads to them saying that this is probably the last grand funeral the Sunwoo clan will probably ever have, since they now have a leader who is unable to learn their style nor anyone strong enough to pass it on to future generations, and Shioon being unable to improve his martial arts further since he no longer has any masters to teach him.

But if they do that, then that would mean that the Murim is knowingly breaking from their tradition (gasp!) and that may have repercussions in their lifestyle but I doubt if the younger gen would mind that much anyway.
