Indeed. I guess we can subscribe Cruz's survivability to his needless endurance and his fragment. Him surviving Kafka's attack was pretty shocking back then. He was able to stand up after getting thrown to the side right away. The repelling of Hatfield's Rain Laser back in chapter 71 was rather obvious as well. I can't believe I didn't notice that back then. All lasers go straight through their targets, but one of the lasers that's meant for Cruz just bounces off him. Kami's been giving us hints all along. We noticed some of them, but I failed to see this one.
So I guess Cruz's powers really started to awaken because of his decision to 'fight' (going after Blade and finding out that he truly is a resident of the Black Spot). This together with the concentrated Eden's Seed from the pill accelerated his Needless development. His sister getting killed in front of him seems to have been the last drop.
So just what is Cruz's power? So far we've seen:
- high survivability/endurance;
- (quick) regeneration;
- stopping Arca when she tried to kill him;
- reflecting Hatfield's rain laser;
- not freezing after being hit by Strom's Vajra cruel fist;
- resisting and repelling the flames of Agnishwattas;
- his eyes changing shape and colour.
I don't know what kind of fragment is able to do all these things. It's not a regular fragment or else something should have happened after Blade touched his forehead with Cruz's. If Blade couldn't learn it, then it must be a fragment that he couldn't learn because it's not completely developped yet or maybe it's not a fragment at all. Maybe he's something more than a mere Needless.
That brings me to something else that's been bugging me.
Is the location of the scars on their chest a coincedence or what? Will it play a role in the future?
