I think it's supposed to simulate inertial forces that act on you. Since real inertia doesn't really exist when you're sitting still, they use gravity as a replacement. That being said, that guy was a terrible driver... I saw him go off the track several times which explains some of the side-to-side jittering.

Wow. I urge everyone to try this out. It is hard to describe. Basically, you can make really neat music with just mouse clicks. Check it out. Play around with it. You can select and deselect blocks. Play around with it, it is really something else. You'll probably bookmark it like me. Quote:

Pilot made it out alive in the ejection.
Captain Brian "Boozer" Bews ejected safely during the High Alpha. Anyone else think it was coincidence the song played (as heard over the speakers in the videos) was the Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive. Here the video of these photos: http://www.globallethbridge.com/story.html?id=3315229

It works on a small scale, but I seriously doubt it could work on real vehicles, which can way as much as 2 tons. Looking at the way the wheels traction the ground, a real car would have too much friction to be able to move sideways like that. Not to mention the obvious safety issues. I bet braking with wheels like that wouldn't work so well.

A mate show it to me the other day, and i found it genius! I think it works best with chrome. Make sure you don't have anything else running, because it can bring your computer to its knees.
http://www.thewildernessdowntown.com/ Basically it is an interactive video released by arcade fire and google, back in aug 2010, showing off html5. Besides the track is not bad either, "We Used To Wait". So give it a go. |
