Sasuke may really want to be strong but he wont just pull out any jutsu...it depends on the situation. In the words of Kakashi-sensei "Think before using a jutsu or will be used against u."

He hasnt had much opportunity. During the chunnin exam, most of the time he can't use sharingan because of Oro's curse seal.

He could only copy before that and the only one worth copying has been Kage Bunshin.

He has copied everything he had the chance to except kage bunshin. But it would be pretty stupid if the main character and the second main character used the same jutsus

Sasuke can copy jutsu, the point is which one?

-He couldn't copy those of Zabuza, he hadn't the sharingan.
-He couldn't copy those of Haku, it was a bloodline.
-He copied the taijutsu of Lee.
-Oro didn't use any particular jutsu which Sasuke can copy.
-He couldn't copy those of Zaku, it was a tool into his harms.
-He couldn't use the sharingan during the preliminary because of the curse seal.

So exept the kage bunshin that he will never copy because it's the main jutsu of Naruto, when did he miss an occasion to copy a jutsu?

i guess there is a reason why the writer sent him to the hospital after his first match prelims and then he shows up at the end of chunnin finals. If he had just stood around he could have copied:

Puppet jutsu
Mind body switch
Leaf spinning wind
Shadow Copy
Quadrpod no jutsu (Kiba)
Beast Human Bunshin
Piercing Fang
Opening gates(Can he copy??)
Lotus
Multi-Size
Meat Tank

Why are you guys all saying that he could have copied something... i mean... this was how the creator made it. If he copied all of the main characters move... wouldnt it be boring. Each character has their own unique ability and it should be kept that way. I dont mind if it was the battle between Kakashi and Zabuza. The way the creator did it was.... creative! If he kept on using it... then it would be boring. As long as Sasuke can copy a couple good ones... and not ALL of them... then it is good.

IMO sharingan ain't all that... theres too many uncopyable moves... until sasuke can fight like kakashi (copy everything! including movement, speach blah blah..) i still say he is wasting his "advance bloodline".

(p.s. kakashi's copying fight style don't limit to just copying jutsus.... its does a heck more, like confusing foe etc.)

mind body seems to be a bloodline jutsu (Yamazaki jutsu)
same with multisize and meat tank (chouji)
gates he can copy
puppet jutsu is too specialized. he wouldnt be able to "master" the use of a puppet
Fighting style is too different for Kiba's Techniques

nin is not short for ninja. it is the "person" counter.

1 nin 2 nin 3 nin 4 nin ( hitori futare, sannin yonin....)

A lot of those techniques seem like Bloodline Techs, making them useless to Sasuke or any Sharingan user.

But PLEASE, let's not get into the copying the Gates thing again. I don't recall anywhere in the manga saying the Gates was a copyable technique. IMO, that was just something they threw into the anime to make Kakashi look cooler (like Ebisu knowing Kage Bunshin).

I do agree though that Sasuke hasn't had much of a chance to copy anything anyway. (Haha, sucker.

) Somehow, I think Kishimoto-sama is saving that for a special occasion.

Btw, concerning the move he "copied" from Lee, did he copy the launcher, or the actual Kage Buyou?

He copied all the jutsu, but his body wasn't able to it entirely, just the launcher.

Sasuke has a perfect oppurtunity to copy Kage Bunshin... during the last few eps of the Forest of Death arc, Naruto pulls a Kage Bunshin right infront of Sasuke, who at the time, has his sharingan on and is watching the whole thing... and about 5 minutes after Naruto does the Kage Bunshin THEN Sasuke starts bitching about the pain.... he had his chance at Kage Bunshin.... he might have copied it, who knows... but i doubt hes that smart.. freaky ass red eyed loser... cant even beat up his own brother..

well... kakashi takes off his headband to watch lee open the gates... and then later, when he is going to meet sasuke, he uses initial lotus to get him out of a tight spot.

i think gai would have to use one hand.

he might do it only using his hands but he would need to use at least one...

The sharingan has the ability to see through other people's technique right. Isn't that what he is doing when observing Lee? Trying to see what Lee does. This doesn't make him able to open gates right. And on the mountain he's just focusing on his strenghth.

if i remember right, the 1st and 2nd gates are the ones that release the body's restraints and the position that was shown on Kakashi's brain where the dot was blinking was same position for the first gate.

therefore IMO, Renge does actually open the first gate. or something like that.

i'm pretty sure Kakashi opened the first gate tho.

Spoiler: in the manga, when sasuke challenged naruto to a dual on top of the hospital... he had enouf opp to copy jutsus from naruto (eg. rasangan(sp), naruto combo, kagebunshin, but instead he choose to use his usual KATON fire balls in the end he end up copying nothing...
