Have to say, I'm actually a little disappointed that Takuto didn't lose to Head. Granted, he probably would have had it not been for that upgrade, which seemed to take Head completely by surprise. So I'm thinking that Head is either going to get some sort of rematch or when Sugata joins, he'll become the final boss so to speak and Head will sort of step down from that role aside from having his story wrapped up.

These seals seem rather easy to break. It's too bad that Mizuno couldn't actually do anything to defend herself, though she didn't have much idea what she was doing I guess. The Maiden Cybodies in Zero Time look somewhat similar to Tauburn and Reshbal. Wonder if there is anything to that.

Takuto's grandfather seemed cool and I find it hilarious he looks essentially like how you'd expect Takuto to if he was an old man.

So it seems there wasn't any reveal on Head. Curious as to when that's going to come up. Probably just the hour, but as I said above, I'm thinking Head seems to have lost a bit of his importance now that he has lost.

And Mizuno leaves the island. Good to see that she seems happy and that Marino is there as well, though I don't entirely get what was going on there.

you just can not win against Tauburn in a duel. He's always one step ahead

I think the only solution is to gang up on him. If several crux cybodies can combine to form an even larger cybody that's even better

That would seem to be the best strategy to go with at the moment. The only person who could probably stand a chance in one on one is Sugata in Samekh, but that fight won't happen until the end in all likelihood.

I'm also disappointed Takuto won again, I was so sure Head would defeat him... Furthermore, the fight itself was fairly boring and nowhere near as epic as I was hoping it'd be. Both rounds were way too one-sided to be enjoyable. So I guess what happened to Takuto is that he moved on to the fourth phase? Why only him though? Head's mark is also genuine.

Actually, I thought Takuto's grandfather looked a lot more like an Old Head with ginga bishounen hair than an Old Takuto. Either way, he's a pretty cool old man.

And yeah, also disappointed we didn't get any revelation. I was hoping Head would mindfuck Takuto during the fight. Though, after learning that Takuto is planning to kick his father's butt, I don't think disclosing the truth to him would have helped his case. On the contrary, he would have been even more motivated to win.

I enjoyed the conclusion to Marino and Mizuno's story. I thought for sure that Marino had disappeared as a result of Mizuno's seal getting broken, it was a very pleasant surprise to find out she was actually alive and kicking. I like happy endings like these.

Moreover, it would have been a crime for that ass to disappear from the world!

Ohh. I thought Hana's voice sounded a bit untrained for seiyuu work and wondered if they'd possibly hired a 9nine girl to do it, possibly Kawashima Umika since she seems to be the most popular one to me (and with the most acting experience) - and it turns out she really voiced Hana. She's the girl who starred in Yamakan's live-action movie Watashi no Yasashikunai Senpai, if anyone cares. Most likely a rising star.

Color me slightly disappointed as well. Not a bad episode by any means, but it has to be compared to the conclusion of the first arc, and I don't think it's come anywhere close to it. One would expect more fabulous animation for a Head/Takuto showdown... well, not that it won't happen again, I suppose.

Now to find out how Keito's arc will play out?

Indeed, the opening version was much cooler looking, though the fact we didn't see Head use that hand projectile makes me think a rematch will come up. I actually enjoyed the first half since it was nice to see Takuto having trouble, but was disappointed by how quickly Head lost when Takuto got up. If he's so good, he should have been able to keep his cool rather than freaking out. Some recent interview implied that we're going to see Tauburn upgrade with each new Phase, though if he is already on the Fourth Phase that would make sense as well. I've seen someone make the theory that it might somehow be Takuto's power, to be one step ahead or something to that effect.

Maybe, though what really confuses me was that the Random Curiosity summary on the episode seemed to imply that he isn't actually Takuto's real grandfather, but that of the boy who it seems was not Takuto's brother as I assumed. Which would seem to indicate that marks can be given to those not blood related though maybe that was an error or something.

I know, it would have been a perfect way to screw with Takuto and would have seemed like something Head would do. I'm curious as to how it's going to be brought up now. Indeed, he probably would have fought even harder.

Takuto grandfather name is Tsunashi Ikurou, same surname as Takuto & he likely Takuto biological grandpa if we go with family name or by appearance, Ikurou does have resemblance with Takuto. I guess that someone was supposed to have mark (Takuto father?!) but he disappear, leaving Takuto with his grandpa until he old enough to inherit the mark. If Takuto isn't Ikurou grandson, then what is exactly Takuto are? But again, the whole mark inheritance is vague.

I'm fairly impressed with the conclusion for this arc & Tauburn vs Reshbal fight is cool in terms of animation & action. Lot's of budget being poured into this episode & Ken Ootsuka doing key animation of fight is excellent. I know some of you expect more action between Head & Takuto fight but i think this is good enough.
Tauburn upgrade much correspond to Igarashi&Enokido interview that he will power up through phases. I don't think that Head is out of picture completely, he must be caught off-guard with sudden evolve of Tauburn & i bet he will return with upgrades to fight Takuto on next stages. Lesson learned: Never underestimate Ginga Bishounen power even you have phase up because he will do the same thing.

Looking forward to Keito arc because it likely more complicated than the previous one & she have her own agenda within the Crux, possibly want to drag Sugata in & becoming the Emperor

I missed his name I guess, so that is probably his grandfather. Oddly, he doesn't seem to have the eye shape both Head and Takuto have, but has a shape that resembles Sugata or Katashiro's. Of course, I've been thinking that Ikurou was Takuto's mother's father rather than Head's.

I think what bugs me the most is just how Head acted once Tauburn upgraded. On one hand, it was actually rather nice to see him freaked out for once, but I wish he hadn't lost quite so quickly.

Indeed, though I'm curious what upgrades he might get in the Fourth and Fifth. Maybe Tauburn will become pure red in the end or something? Hopefully he comes back and I agree that he was mainly just caught off guard. He'll probably take Takuto much more seriously next time.

Indeed, and I'm actually looking forward to seeing how they'll make her sympathetic since right now she doesn't have much going for her in that department. She very likely wants Sugata and I think this new arc will be partially about him perhaps being corrupted and ending with him joining, reviving Samekh, and then fighting Takuto for the grand finale.

And you know what? Let him. I just hope it comes back to bite him.
