A conversion for use as an actual stock would be very cool.

Some of you may recall that, once upon a time, Hasbro re-purposed a certain mould for use as Jetfire (or Skyfire) in the West.
While the original deal has long been dead and buried, a new Leader-class figure for Jetfire was revealed not along ago, which seems to owe more to the character's hybrid origins. It certainly looks different to the moulds created for Jetfire in the Classics and Titanium lines a few years back, but it does share the concept seen with the Classics mould of using the comic/cartoon face for the head, and the more that-toy-we-can't-use-anymore-esque faceplate as a helmet. (And the mounting of a detachable weapon pack on the back.)

yep, it and the VF-1 pretty much tie evenly as my personal favorite variable fighter.
i've one of these 1/60 bad boys preordered at AmiAmi at around $300+ shipped. frightfully pricey to many for a mere "toy" but quite priceless to us fanboys all the same. this beauty is based off YAMATO's 1/60 VF-19k/F/S design, with the very same degree of high metal content. my own 19S has been through at least 100 transformations by now, and is still tight as a drum, so rest assured this new YF-19 design is thoroughly vetted, as about as close to indestructibility as a modern VF toy can ever get. due out at the end of this month, just so you all know...

just released in late MAR. and long awaited by many a MACROSS fan, not the least of which myself.
PLENTY of diecast metal throughout makes for an exceptionally rugged and "Sexy" toy!! though at $245USD less shipping, it ain't the least bit sexy on the wallet

If anyone is interested (and has LOTS of money to throw around) Volks is doing Dollfie Dream versions of Sheryl and Ranka. They are pretty cute actually:
http://www.volks.co.jp/macrossf/en/ Have until January 18th to preorder them. For anyone unfamiliar with these dolls, they are BIG. They aren't little barbie sized figures they are around 60cm usually. lol they even did a little commercial for it using sheryl and ranka's voice actors: http://youtu.be/ipSQmVfBTmg

And a rant from me...since I'm assuming I'm the only one here that this will probably affect.
They're rereleasing the five Macross franchise movies (English titles here), with the main draw of these new packages being newly recorded staff and cast audio commentaries... *lets out string of expletives* orz..... /rant...and returns to lurking...

Darlin, you aren't the only one, considering I purchased the collector's edition for DYRL and the two Frontier movies...
And here I thought I had secured the ultimate prize... pfft. - Tak
