doubt it, altho akimbo shotties is annoying as hell and with a insanely stupid range on them, they aren't a glitch. IW don't see a problem with them so I don't see em fixing anything there.

Yeah, the Ranger missions were badass just because fighting on American ground made them so surreal, especially the ones in D.C....There's something very dramatic about watching Chinooks evacuate people from a war-torn National Mall or having to retake the White House from enemy forces (I don't think any of us were alive during the War of 1812)...Epic shit

Shotguns will always be over powered one way or another. Considering real life the shotguns usually do have an advantage in close range combat. Also got to consider that the shotguns can't hit far range and is only of use for close range makes more sense. Because shotguns don't usually just shoot 1 bullet but spread. But I mean they could lower the damage done.

People don't really have a problem with shotguns being king of close combat, but someone over at the IW forums pointed out that the range of all the guns in the game is way shorter than "IRL" which makes sense since it's an arcade shooter, but for some reason, the shotguns have retained a more normal range making it look like they can kill from absurd ranges in the game's context.
Akimbo shotguns (at least the 1887s everyone's talking about) may be a tad overstrong for the game, but what fix if any remains to be seen. There's a huge number of ways they could choose to tackle the problem if they choose to do so.

edit: Just saw this US Sales I think this November was pretty much the best console software selling month of this gen. o_____O Lol at the 360 outselling the PS3. Even Microsoft didn't expect that(they actual posted number that they had pretty low expectations of black Friday). Well I'm putting my money on that the MW2 360 combo set was what made it happen. MW2(just the 360 version) is pretty much selling like a 360 exclusive, I'll be shocked for real if outsells halo3. xD Data care of NPD Group Reporting Period: 11/1 - 11/28/09 PlayStation 2 203.1K PlayStation 3 710.4K PSP 293.9K Xbox 360 819.5K Wii 1.26M Nintendo DS 1.70M CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2* (360) |Nov-09| 4.20M CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2* (PS3) |Nov-09| 1.87M NEW SUPER MARIO BROS. I had went to find out about this also whiles back and while only thing I could tell then was it gave extra custom slots which was soemthing I figured anyway.
wasn't till I went prestige myself I find out there are extra challenges and more titles. Thats all I know of it, nothing really speical but then I do like trying to get titles and emblems, does add that little something to the game. also extra slots I find to really come in handy this time around, I was fine with 5 in MW but since theres a crap load of stuff this time around, extra slots are great.

You get an extra custom slot on every odd numbered prestige (1, 3, 5, etc)
First prestige unlocks the prestige challenges, and then there's some new titles and icons that unlock every time you do it. On the other hand you go back down to level 1 and you only get to keep your titles and icons (and prestige challenges if you've unlocked them), everything else is reset to 0. |
