about the drop kick thing, I think eri become self concious again about harima. It's so sweet when both harima and eri dropped their defenses in the temple and show their other side to each other. 2 things that make this two incompatible: harima's tunnel vision on tenma, and eri's pride over herself being a "princess"

I think when they drop these things, those two will make a lovely couple.
I think if Harima ever drops his tunnel vision for Tenma then that will be enough to make things work with Eri. She's not really a princess anyway, she just plays at it because she is kind of insecure.

My guess however is that the story is eventually going to be about people coming clean and owning up to their own feelings. Which means we'll prolly see a Tenma confession to Kappa boy, Harima to Tenma and Eri to Harima. After that, we'll have to see where the chips fall

I purposely left Yakumo out of this because while she's a very sweet girl, she just doesn't have that fire that the other characters have. It'd be very unbelievable at this point if she went from a total ingenue to some sort of love struck fool in the pace of even a couple of volumes of the manga. She's a good character, but I'm pretty sure at this point her role has been designated as a macguffin for the purpose of plot development between Harima and Eri.

The way anime did Harima's hair when he's with Tenma is quite different from the manga.

You know the single for the new ending theme tune has another track called "Daisuki to Daki shimete Toku" and with each track there are 4 versions:

Original - both Yukamo & Tenma singing.
Yukamo version (no Tenma).
Tenma version (no Yukamo).
karaoke version (neither singing).

I'm not really feeling this ep, gave a 7. Most serious SR ep I've ever seen, and Eri's mom was ugly. Also Eri's face was a little too ridiculously pointy in some shots. I was really confused in lots of parts in this ep too, just couldn't follow. I'm starting to not care about Eri, I may be ok with more Tenma, Yakumo, and Miko, maybe even some of that other girl with long brown hair. At least Hanai got some screen time finally, though it was weird.

"aha" type of girl haha. SR has solid voice acting

Old ED was more mellow but better than new one. Next ep I couldn't figure out what it was about.

Totally loved this ep (well, except for the ending... the first one was better.) I don't know about you guys, but I'm here for the laffs, and this one's got it in bunches.

Plus with the flag scenes, it's win-win for me!

Where's eveybody getting all these laughs from? Some parts were funny, but this was easily the most drama-filled episode of SR so far (and even with practically excluding drama-relief Yakumo). Having said that this was still an excellent episode.

IMO, flag has always been moving at a constant (albeit slow) pace. This episode showed no different.

If you noticed, Harima saying that he saw Sawachika as a "good person" if only for "JUST A MOMENT" sounds alot like another previous line. I take that as a hint that Harima is slowly taking off those blinders. Also, Sawachika placed full trust in Harima (although not really knowing) and became stronger because of it. I personally think her kick at the end was more for comedy than any dramatic implications.

They can only have so much pride to shield themselves with.

Great Episode, lots of moments between Eri and Harima. From watching the preview, I see Eri blushing, chances are its going to be about Harima :P. I think she was muttering "beardy, you're the worse" is not a bad thing, shes dreaming about him, and its probably a good dream too, theres probably just some usual dialogue between the two of them in the dream. Can't wait to see the x-mas episode.

i wonder if and when the creators will finally resolve the romances, instead of just pulling viewers on a string. i mean yes, all of these episodes are funny, and we will still watch as long as they keep coming, but after 43 shows and nothing has been resolved yet makes me wonder how long they are going to keep at it.

it is a general problem to have an official relationship - like harima finally getting the girl - a possible death note for the author. but if the story-telling is good enough then they can make it work. i think the time is soon for some concrete answers. although being pulled by a string still makes this show a lot better than other comedies.

I could spoil it for you but i wont, lets just say you might not like the results if SR 2nd term finishes at around esp 26.

I would die with Joy if SR 2nd term went a full-hog ~52 esps but that would never happen

Instead it just confirms the cold hearted calculating person eri-chan is, she had to thinkof how she could abuse him before dishing the punishment.
If she hit him instantly, it would suggest that Harima's mere presence is sufficient cause for her to hit him. The pause is time in which she takes in the shock of the scene, and adds a "how's she gonna respond to this one" side to events.

I think part of the effect of the drop kick is to send Harima's sunglasses flying off. It allows the author to establish that Eri now knows that Harima and Employee A are one and the same.

It doesnt seem like this story is going anywhere but in circles.
This story arc hasn't ended, yet. You'll be in a much better situation to make a judgement after the follow up in Ep.18.

I agree completely. Also, not only does Harima emphatically repeat his "just a moment," but he also takes extra effort to diffuse the sentiment of his comments, by calling her careless and saying that he really isn't interested in her. His denials, and his response to her sleepy mutter, show at the very least that it's possible to cut through Harima's defenses.

One reason for the wait is that both Harima and Tenma are dead set on their goals - neither are likely to give in, but for the relationships to resolve themselves, at least one of them has to give in. For something like that to happen, (assuming that these relationships actually do get resolved, by the end), at least one of these two has to undergo a gradual change in their opinions over time. If the change is too rapid, the story writing will seem to be out of character.

it was a good ep ~ alot of Eri X Harima which was kinda cute =3 ~ and Tenma was really funny :P ~ Harima looked very nice when he was in his suit speaking to Tenma *drools* ~ I wonder why Tenma recognised Harima and Eri didn't have a clue despite being around him longer. I think after Eri found out it was Harima...she's probably gonna love him more O.O...no no no Tenma X Harima!!!!!!

Tenma realized it was Harima after she spilled tea on him, and he put his hair back, that immediately gave her the idea that he looked like Harima. Harima always wore his hair back with his sunglasses on, so no one knows what he looks like otherwise.

I agree about the laughs, I chuckled much less than usual in this ep. Lots of drama, with all of Eri's reflecting and talking to her mom. It didn't feel like SR. I'm finding that Eri's taking away from the SR feel in lots of her scenes, and it's kinda making me resent her lately. Just like I resent all girls and ppl who bring drama, grrr! Pretty peculiar how, of all things, Eri ended up dreaming about Hige. The drop kick seemed reflexive, but I think everyone's awaiting what happens after.

Quite slow flag pace, nothing like Yakumo straddling Harima as manga practice. I loved that Love Hina flashback, greatest SR moment ever!

What if SR never resolves anything, or does mix and match and goes on forever like DragonballZ? 200 ep SR, anyone?

hmm....wait......which part is love hina flashback? i didn't recall anything that similar from love hina on this episode. are you talking about the part where yakumo helping out harima drawing the manga on previous episode?

I don't really mind if school rumble goes on an on forever like DBz or naruto....as long KJ keep the comedy level high as usual. maybe sprinkles some drama and romance now and then, but the comedy must higher than any of those factors.

The series is more than likely will end with the end of the school year, which means 2 more terms to go, so... it'll probably be a 4 season anime. Or they can through a huge twist and make it all resolve at the end of this season and do a fast foward sorta thing showing how everyone is doing. But, Im sorta leaning towards end of school year.
