Hmm this episode was all over the place. For the most part it centers around how Terao met with up Yosuke mixed with some more Mikoto trying his best. Yuki hangs out with her friends while the guys keep training. Mikoto thinks Yosuke hates him but Terao tells him that he's the one who is happiest about Mikoto joining the club. The little segment at the end with Yosuke and Terao meeting for the first time felt kind of weird and out of place but funny. Anyway next time new character I wonder how long until the first competition.

Wow. Since I read earlier that ansf did some "horrid subbing," I guess I should grab the other subbed ones.

I think this show is pretty good. I can't wait to see ep4!

i wouldnt say its good, but its not bad either. It's no Initial D or Ippo, but hopefully it'll grow into a decent show.

Also, i agree. Since this is a sports show the emphasis should always be on the sports side, with verything else acting as support. Even Initial D had its romance elements, but they were purely in as support.

Spoiler for ep 7:

The mysterious rival character appears badmouthing Yosuke causing Mikoto to train like mad without food or rest to prove him wrong. The beginning with Mikoto in his Bruce Lee outfit trying to force Terao and Yosuke to let him ride again was pretty funny. The animation quality took a dip here and there but nothing blatantly detracting. Anyway looking forward to Takeshi and Yosuke's confrontation next episode and Mikoto figuring out that the guy is just Yamato from class with his hair back.

recently I read the manga up to vol8 and I'm seriously regretting it now.

It's gonna ruin all the surprises in the anime and I wish I could have been more patient... still definitely worth watching though.

I second this request and also have a question. Is Animenoobs/ANFS the only fansubbing group doing Overdrive? Because they've only done up to episode 3 it seems, so I was just curious if anyone knows of any other fansubbing group doing this underrated anime?

For crying out loud! Don't you bother to check AnimeSuki before asking a question like that? The answer is right there! Perhaps you just never heard of AnimeSuki or find it too hard to remember the name?

Well at the time of my post, episode 3 was the most current episode fansubbed by ANFS. Episode 4 was posted a day after I asked this question. And yes I did check, but ANFS was all I found. I was only curious if there were more than one fansub group doing the same new-ish series (like Tengen for instance). No need to be so condescending about it.

They seem to have good information on who's subbing what, which language or to which episode did they go and so on.

I think you just phrased your question wrong? Because the answer to what you asked in the first place is that yes, people other than ANFS are subbing this series. Mendoi currently has up to episode 2 released, and it's quite clearly listed on the animesuki page provided.

If you had wanted to know if any group had achieved episode 4, then well, at the time, the answer was no.

As jpwong says, somehow you overlook the existence of Mendoi who is also fansubbing Over Drive and is listed on that page quite clearly. If there was a third group they would also be listed there.
