I do wish that particular source would have done a better translation. She doesn;t say, "In love and war, we english cease to be refined," it's "All's fair in love and war."

And then they use that whole Artistic Integrity excuse. *rolls eyes*

It's even more inexcusable when you consider that Darjeeling herself says the exact phrase in english in the next episode, from what we see of the preview.

Speaking of the next episode, only a couple of days left!

And, IIRC, only the Crunchyroll translation even had a clue regarding Momo 's reply to the Pravda offer of surrender. She even said it in English! ("Nuts!") The famous reply of General McAuliffe to the German offer of surrender at Bastogne. With all the historical 'easter eggs' that are seeded throughout the show you'd think they wouldn't flub that one.

I've been re-marathoning the episodes so far in preparation for the upcoming releases. Pretty interesting the things you pick up on the second and third viewings that you didn't notice before.

Well, for instance, the Student Council, whom I've warmed up to as well (except for Momo, I still think she's a dork), even though now that we know what their motives are in regards to Sensha-do and the school, when you go back and hear their words, it really places everything in context. They really are concerned about the school.

A lot of it has been minor background details that the eye doesn't catch the first time.

Oh, and Erika needs a serious spanking.
