i seriously think someone needs to get off of their arses and scan FMA to its latest chapter - or TW just needs to be spanked. i'm not a huge fan of FMA's anime. it's ed's differences that tweaks me, he just seems so calm and proper... |

...yuu is burned out translating right now, so we're seeing if someone else can translate some chapters. The manga is going to be licensed sooner or later as well, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was sooner rather than later. |

It's the anime that has been officially announced to be licensed (i.e. the company handling the localisation & production has been announced). And the answer so far is you can get the whole entire Japanese FMA manga either through buying Gangans (released monthly, contains latest chapters), the Tankoubons 単行本 (Vol 1-7, 8 coming soon, compilations of chapters printed in Gangan) at Kinokuniya or Japanese stores. If you wish to get the raws, you should look them up through your P2P networks, which I'm pretty sure there are a few copies floating through the networks. You won't generally find them posted at websites. You can also get the Chinese Tankoubons (if you have a store nearby carrying such books) which is up to the same volume printed as the Japanese version. Chinese scanlates are up to date with Gangan and can be found at http://yoh.huming.com/comic/home/type.asp?typeid=2 If you have no Japanese knowledge or Chinese knowledge, you can simply treat the Chinese scanlates as Japanese raws anyways. TW have scanlated Vol 1-4 but have stopped since they do not want to bother with the tediousness of taking them off (why create more problems?) when the official announcement for licensing (which they believe is soon) is announced. At least that's what I believe is their official stance (maybe Ookla or some TW staff can clarify). I've heard of a group called Evil Genius that is picking up supposedly where TW have left off. But I have not seen their full work. As for me... I'm doing some of the translations on my whims and like TW will stop when the license is officially announced as well. |

Chinese tankoubons are up to Volume 7 in case anyone wants to know.
I have a strong feeling most people aren't interested in buying, though... >_>;; Edit: DOH! Last edited by sarcasteak; 2004-06-14 at 04:47. |

But I think you'll be glad to know that the Perfect Guide is coming out in Chinese in July (same month Vol 8 Japanese comes out). |
