Question Light Novel Series to start with?

Hey guys!
Can you suggest me a good light novel to introduce me to the genre?
I'm more into action - battle kinds of stuff (No high school drama etc.)
Thanks

Tatakaushisho should be the obvious pick here.
Well written, has a good deal of battles, and not a single trace of high school drama.

Madan no ou to vanadis I guess. There's no school plot and every volume you got a war.

Madan no Ou to Vanadis: The scale of the world here is just beyond massive. This might be fantasy, but it feels VERY VERY REAL. Everything, including the wars are described in great detail... Blood, Torn Limbs, Genocide, Slavery, and the world, also it is the most coherent of all novels I read, every little detail is recorded and it will be used, and every action has a consequence, every soldier is counted, every resource is allocated, and the generals trying to out gambit one another, there is no such thing as perfect victory, even the best laid plans go awry, even the most advantageous battles can cause losses on the victors as well.

Gekka no Utahime: school yes, but it breaks your typical protagonist into a calculating but not cold, inventor who could change the world, but it shows what inventors go through, their doubts, and their fears about their inventions being abused for less noble reasons.

Apocalypse Alice: This might not be easy to the readers specially if it can be summarized in one sentence: "Kill the girl, save the world." Here you get an Edgy-Antihero who considers himself a trash in a class full of trash who believes that they are heroes. It's very psychological. And the plot twists are waaay to massive... what do you expect from it's author?

Shakugan no Shana... Perhaps ^_^ ?

You should probably start with the most popular series, if only because they're more readily 'available'. SAO, Index and Mahouka are probably the most popular chunnibyouish series of the lot currently.

Followed by stuff like Campione, C3, and Strike the Blood etc. though these tend to have a more romcom focus at times.

But the action genre is pretty big, is there a specific type? Also, keep in mind that the nature of these stories tend to have sizeable wall of texts.

Here you go.
It is written by the same person who did the Hero of Six Flowers. This should be a guarantee of quality.

Give Maze no Stigma a shot. Ayano's in HS but you read for Kazuma's epic badassery. Unfortunately the series isn't gonna get finished but still one of my favorites regardless.
