Sing? How about getting someone with a better understanding of English to write the lyrics? Even allowing for the Engrish pronounciation, the song's lyrics make little sense. They're delightfully funny but quite nonsensical. (Maybe they resurrected the spirit of Lewis Carroll to write the lyrics? )

Actually the line is "I danced with the peanut butterflies" according to the lyrics printed in the OST booklet. Not that peanut butterflies makes any more sense than the version you quoted.
According to the booklet, here are the English lyrics ... Quote:

Well I don't think you have to worry since they're working along the same storyline as the light novels and the fact this show doesn't look like its heading down the path of "depressing ending". Either way there is no way they would finish off the story from all the novels with just a second season without deriving from the manga or just doing piss poor pacing and writing.

I was suggested this anime series. I'm a Kallen and Lelouch fan from Code Geass. I was told that if I like that pairing I should enjoy this series. Since they have the same voice actors. I looked it up and these two have done quite a bit of work together. I've just been often disappointed in anime ends. I really enjoy this series. The opening song of the first season is just beautiful. Should be interesting if they use a new song for the second season. Has there been a release date for the second season. I don't think I saw any dates when I last when to the official site.

When I first heard it I though it was "I danced with the Spring and Buterflies" That made alot more sense than Peanut Butterflies. But maybe, like honeyed peaches, Horo will maybe get to try eating Peanuted Butterflies >.<?(I know she never actually got the Peaches.)

Does no one really get the Peanut butterflies thing? The song's singing about yummy food and natural things, like... eyes = apple, sun = pie, etc. And then there's peanut butter...who doesn't like peanut butter... peanut butter = butterflies, the word becomes one because they both have butter in them, and it's SO CUTE.
I see nothing confusing about this. |

Japanese use english words because they SOUND pretty or the alphabet characters LOOK pretty --- the actual meaning is often only tangentially relevant.
"whimsy" and "jabberwocky" is a fair description of the tune.
