Zeus G (I think) is already in G Gundam, so we can't use that... so how about Jupiter Gundam?

PLANT Gundam- a gundam the size of a colony
RX-01- Super weak and almost useless gundam prototype

What names would you give?
Assuming that you want an answer plausible within the confines of the show, the first five GAT-X machines were most likely code named for their role. Strike is a multi-function assualt unit, Buster is a long range artilery unit, Aegis is the command unit [with a versatile array of weaponry for short, mid, and long range combat], Duel is a close combat unit, and Blitz is a stealth/fswift attack unit. The second set of GAT-X machines seemed to be named more for intimidatation.

The ZGMF-X machines Freedom and Justice are named after ideals and were primarily meant to be symbols. Providence, since it was kept secret may have originally been an "ace in the hole" for ZAFT in case things weren't going their way. One definition for providence is "care or preparation in advance; foresight" [dictionary.com] Dreadnought was probably named for the number of beam weapons it has. Regenerate is named for it's ability to "regenerate" lost limbs.

Saviour was probably named in a similar fashion to Providence, an ace in the hole to bail them out of trouble. Impulse is not clear, but it describes its pilot quite well. Chaos, Gaia, and Abyss have been covered and I have nothing to add to that.

G Gundam definitely has some kickass Gundam names, my favorite are those DG Gundam names from martial art novels/movies, 獅王争覇 , 天剣絶刀, 笑伽江湖

oh, and re-using Gundam names seem not that big a deal anyway, there was a Freedom Gundam in G Gundam too, and that obviously doesn't stop them from using the name "Freedom" in SEED

Vengence - I just like the sound of it. I also get a good picture of one mencing looking gundam in my mind when I think of it. It could really fit in any where. Either those guys who crashed Junis 7 into Earth (they seemed to have the resources to get their hands on those enhanced GINNS, solar flare motors, and a ship to get them there), The EA Junius 7 having crashed on them, or ZAFT (Junius 7, multiple nuke attacks/attempts).

Retribution - Also sounds cool. Same motives for the Vengence Gundam it just sounds cooler.

Purity - Go blue cosmos

Divine Gundam - Also sounds cool.

Providence is a theological term referring to the rule of God.

Yes, that is one definition, but not the only one. It's really up to personal interpretation. You are free to look the word up yourself.

prov·i·dence
n.

1. Care or preparation in advance; foresight.
2. Prudent management; economy.
3. The care, guardianship, and control exercised by a deity; divine direction: “Some sought the key to history in the working of divine providence” (William Ebenstein).
4. Providence God.
