I can't help but think this song is really weak. The momentum and pacing of this one is all over the place, and even with the sequence, I'm not thrilled at all

Seriously, although they did much more efforts in adding more illustrations, for some reasons, the key scenes are really not "epic". (No wedding dress Erika? muu...)
... And what's up with Shannon's expression? It is literally some kind of "fuhahaha, I owned you, bye".

The lack of Erika VS Beato was underwhelming, at least it was okay with Erika's "last stand" though not exactly something to write home about.

I still consider the second UMG as the weakest one, but this UMG isn't really far from it. I dunno, it seems they really can't top the fantastic MAD they have done for Episode 1.

So far, the ranking for me is like this:
UMG 1 > UMG 5 (Recap of the question arcs) > UMG 4 > UMG 3 > UMG 6 > UMG 7 > UMG 2

The whole duel of loved was sickening twisted and morbid from the very start to the very end, despite the smoothness of the duel. (George, Jessica, Kanon, Shannon and Battler... just EEfing crazy all of them)

I apporve of 'crazed' Shannon... She and Kanon were all mad, hell everybody was madden by their desire for a miracle of love.

Absolutely not. It was a compulsory trial, but every character respected everyone.
The only real hostility was "You are in my way!".
They had a clear "peace of mind" when they retrieved the guns. By no mean you had kanon having a "oh shit, i'm done" or Shannon having a borderline psychotic/sadistic expression.

There is no need for Ryukishi to do that, considering the narration of the scene. The mood and the music completemented it as well.

......And yet, .........both expressions were solemn, ......filled with absolutely no doubts in their own fate until the moment the trigger would be pulled.

Shannon (smiling): "Don't be sad. We'll meet again soon...in the Golden Land."

Kanon (resolute): "We should have done this much sooner."

Shannon "That way, ......we would never have to be reunited."

Kanon (smiling): "It's alright. Considering what day this is, even this duel is just a farce."

Shannon: "You're right... If we're just going to revive in the Golden Land anyway, it really is just a farce."

Kanon: "Then I'll see you later."

Shannon: "Yeah. You too."

Kanon: "So long."

*bang*

How in the world could anyone conclude Shannon would have such silly expression with that script?

Anyway I know, I know... it's all just a meta scene and technically everybody was just pretendin g to be dead.

But EVERYBODY killed for the sake of love... If that's not morbid or twisted then we've all became demons (>.>;; I sound a bit angry... but honestly EP6 Was honest and true but that doesn't stop it from being distrubing).

So Craze Shannon is accepted... she wouldn't even let her 'brother' get in the way... and why doesn't she and Kannon have a complete soul in the first place? (of course in a realistic sense).

Please read the scene again. It is -impossible- for that to happen the way you describe. Not even close.

The fact it is twisted for "you" doesn't mean it is for them. You have to factor the situation they were in, and especially their own words. If it is really like you said, they would never act that peaceful in the first place.
And I can't imagine such solemn and peaceful BGM to be played in that scene, at all. period.

Probably my least favorite Motion Graphic after UMG4.

My favorites in order are probably...
UMG1
UMG 6
UMG 5
UMG 3
UMG 2
UMG 7
UMG 4

... then again I haven't read EP6 (though it's not like I read EP1 when I first saw the MG... same goes for... some other episode >.> ) and the story itself didn't really interest me enough, so it's only natural that the Motion Graphic dedicated to it wouldn't entertain me as much as the others did. (Same goes for EP4, it was my least favorite read Episode so the MG summarizing it did nothing for me)

As a Motion Graphic on its own... the song was weak, the illustrations were good (though a few had the normal quirks that you'd find in the Motion Graphics), the sequences and pace were so-so... can't rate how it summarizes the episode, so I can only go by the pretty pictures, effects, and the music. None of which really impressed me.
