Didn't mean to insult, but yes, this is one of those things that could ruin your life, regardless of what you're doing now. Some harsh words are necessary because that's the reality of things. The sad truth is that when hiring, businesses use any and all of your flaws as a reason not to hire you. It doesn't matter how good you look on paper, if they see something wrong with you, they won't give what's on paper a second thought. Just because you are comfortable where you're at now doesn't necessarily mean anything. As open as your employer may be, something like this may be reason enough to let you go. It isn't descrimination since it is something that you purposly did to yourself. Sure, other people have worse tatoos, but the vast majority of them are concealable. What you are looking to do is something that you would be stuck with the rest of your life. It isn't a qustion of getting a tattoo, or even something perminant, but rather where you're getting it. Your face is a major part of how the world gets to know you, doing something like this, for the reasons you've expressed, is just plain foolish.

I mean, if you want to screw over your life, it's up to you, but atleast now you can't feign ignorance.
