Just promoting a animation contest that is being held on Crymod for the CryEngine2 using the Crysis editor Sandbox2.

The contest focuses on dance animations and creating a 30 second to 3 minute video. Crytek has offered prizes for the top 3 entries like a Crysis shirt, lanyards, notepads and stickers.

All you need to have is the Editor (which comes with Crysis), the SDK which can be downloaded, and 3ds Max. Hope to see some animators here with Crysis interested in taking a go at it.

The site has contests regularly also, which are not just for animators. Contests so far have ranged from making a Multiplayer Level, Singleplayer Level, Mimicking a real life scene and various sub categories for the MP and SP contests. In those "larger" and "official" contests prizes have been anything from free CPUs, to free Motherboards, Desktops, Laptops and trips to Germany to check out the Crytek offices.
