I dont know... the manga IS different from tha anime... it's a 4koma after all, Kyo Ani is putting A LOT of steroids to the manga, so we don't know how the future events will be.

From the start, the Festival will be diferent to the manga, i have no doubt about it.

true it is a different take since the manga is a 4koma but they have kept with a majority of the manga material so I do think Sawa-chan's "fetishes" will play their part at the festival

I loved Sawa-chans little pose when she changes her mind about the lyrics

Dang please tell me KyoAni is making this a 24 ep show, it's really good! I finally found a good replacement after bawling throughout clannad AS...

Is there even enough material to do a 24-episode series? Only 2 volumes of the 4-koma manga has been released.

Feels like it'll be 12/13 at most.

Wasn't it confirmed to be a 13 episode series? Regardless, I'm expecting a second season somewhere down the road. I just hope it doesn't catch the Haruhi syndrome.

Oh man. Awesome episode. The teacher racing to the music room was hilarious.

This show is golden win.

Geh...Don't remind me...Probably will though with limited source material and all.

Was sad to see Mugi didn't take the vocalist role seeing as she originally was going to be a choir member...Is it really that taxing to play keyboard and sing at the same time?

As an amateur pianist myself, I can attest that I can barely talk (let along sing) when I am playing the piano. Then again you have people like Billy Joel or Elton John, so go wonder.

It's a talent, like anything else. Most people, it'd be hard. Some people, not so bad. I can "sing" while playing keys myself, but I don't have a voice that should be let out as a lead singer.

Other than that, this episode.. um.. rocked. Sensei definitely killed. More sensei!

Its like trying to pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time. Some people can some people can't, I for one fall into the latter.
I found out this ep I have alot in common with Yui, not sure if thats a good thing or not

Like a sister like Ui? (that would be a terrific good thing )

BTW, the pose that Sawa-chan did when she accepted the song was SO IDOL!!!

Ah... Did you notice that Sawa-chan used the same glasses that Nodoka uses?, the only difference is the color of the frame

About Mugi and the piano, she is too concentrated looking the girls playing, not only her hands are full, her whole brain is full processing such a humoungous cuteness around her.

Wow thats depressing. I was guessing that judging by the cool OP/ED, that there would be more episodes. I hope they perform the ED song at some time in the series, it is friggin' amazing!

Let's see... this 5 episodes means 7 chapters only! and there are 24 chapters until now.

Great episode, the best one so far IMO. This show just keeps getting better as it goes on. I think this show is at it's best when it focuses on the comedy. I don't mind when they try to focus on other aspects, but the comedy really works for me.

Episode was fine for me.. if I have to complain a bit.. The VA inexperience shows a bit.. in particularly, Yui and Sawachan.

I still love ep 4.. but that simply because of a certain boing boing!

Really? I've always felt that Yui was the most consistent one. By the way, she's had the most roles by comparison to anyone else besides Sawa's VA. If I had to criticize anyone's VA it would be Mio's because she tends to play her really shrill sounding from time to time. I also think it's no coincidence that upon double checking she has had the least roles of anyone in the main cast.
