Most of them were adaptations or references from something else. The 'shopping list' was a silly Sesame Street reference, the 'Joker' one was from the Princess Bride movie, and the 'secrets' one was suggested by a beta-tester but apparently it's from a famous piece of fan-art - I think I might've seen it myself. 'Casey and Friends' was a hilarious parody on Youtube, and our version doesn't come close to doing it justice; check it out if you haven't seen it. 'Hands' was the only one I wrote all myself, but I hope you enjoyed it even so .

Thank you so much for translating this! It took you a while for the last patch but the wait was worth it. I wouldn't mind having to wait even more for Watanagashi-hen if you can keep this level of quality.

Also, what is this 'present' Ooish-, ...I mean Cloud is talking about in the Rena*PUN* mini-game? You don't have to tell me what it is, just tell me if it unlocks something in the game or not. I'm dying to know since I can't seem to beat level 3...

I loved 'Hands' by the way.

Thanks Orophin!

I feel your pain on Renapun - it took me forever to beat level 3, which I had to do to make sure all the text was showing up correctly <sigh>. The 'present' is actually something called Extreme Mode, that lets you go even farther than 100 punches. You can test yourself to your full ability !

Funny thing is, from some of the dead code in the script, it looks like the 'present' might have originally been a special Dark Mode, which you can select to have the girls wear gym suits instead of uniforms! Since, like, that's a more functional and comfortable uniform anyway, heh heh. It might be fun to reintroduce that as an option sometime, but I prefer the normal school uniforms myself, so I'm in no hurry.

Addings Casey and Friends in there was hilarious, I thought.

I also thought the Hands skit was really great. I'm a big fan of breaking the fourth wall, heh.

Good job on finishing Onikakushi.

Luckily, I have really quick reflexes, so I was always able to do well on Rena PUN. Though, since I now read that Hands sketch, I've been sabotaged, because I laugh whenever I play it now.

Good job on the full release! And yeah, Hands just cracked me up as much as Casey and Friends.

Yaaaaay, I haven't checked the site or this thread for a while so I didn't realise the patch was released. I've been itching for some more sound-novel goodness, so this will be great .

Also, I've been waiting for the full release to come out before I bought the game, so this is a good incentive too (before I was just playing the demo.)

Higurashi is VERY serious business. Should such a horrifying revelation be true, that means one of two things: 07th Expansion has let greed get the best of them or someone somewhere has a contract to mass release a translation version of the game.

Hmmmmm-mmm....

Spoiler for excerpt from the Sonozaki's "press release"::

...all I have to say is O RLY?

Still, I guess anything is possible; April the 1st is also just another day upon which announcements are made...

BUT...

People will die in Higurashi. In Death Note people also die. If people are killed they will die even if you believe said person can't die when he's killed he will die.

It said "rough translated". Not "highly polished to our usual standard of quality translated".
