Oh god, I have been squeeing for the past half a day now after all the news came out and just can't seem to stop. XD Avatar was my first big fandom (heck, it was through the AvatarSpirit forums that I got into anime) and I just can't wait for even more of that wonderful show. And here's a lot of the new images shown.

Looks amazing so far. I love the world design for this one a lot with the modern touches to the enviornment. The city reminds of an early 1900s Shanghai or Manhattan. The main character also seems like a more interesting character than aang, or at the very least I'm more intrigued by her. An the animation just looks down right breathtaking.

Anyways really looking forward to this.

Just found out that Daniel Dae Kim (from "Lost" fame) will be voicing one of the charatcers. Jeez I keep finding more and more about this show to love.

I am so excited...I don't think I will be able to hold out until the premiere date now

Also besides meeting the new characters I am really excited to see the changes of setting the series the in a more advanced world. Not to mention I love the 1920's.

Jin and Sun were the only characters I still cared about by the end of Lost.

You too eh? I just joined those forums recently myself.

Can't wait for 2012 now. I hear they're splitting it into two seasons of 12 and 14 episodes.

I'm allot more interested in this show than the first Avatar. Namely cause Korra, as a strong action female character seems more interesting than Aang. Having Korra be athletically muscular was a pretty good move on their part IMHO.

The character designs are definitely even more "anime" than the first show, and the first show was pretty clearly as Americanime as it gets. That's an awesome trailer, and the nuggets of info that have flooded out of Comicon on the last day are pretty interesting.

I was/am also an Avatar Spirit member (oh gosh the ship wars be afraid be very afraid) but I was already an anime fan and member of these forums before I was a member there.

I am not sure if I want to go back to those forums for this series.

Btw I was just thinking a 1920's setting....I wonder if there will be gangsters (or something equivalent that is appropriate for a kid's show).

Just so you should know, shippers have already paired the brothers who team up with Korra. There's fanart available already of those two.
Spoiler for BIG:

Yeah, that's pretty awesome.

Honestly I had no interest in this fandom until I saw that trailer. Now totally going to see the movie.

Edit: America is beating the crap out of Japan at anime-style productions. FUCK YEAH AMERICA!

AHh i thought about making the thread here but then wasn't sure as Avatar Legend of Korra is an American production. Since we already had the Thundercats reboot sitting in the General section, I nominated to start the Korra thread there yesterday.
