And that's also the reason she was sealed, because she was a weapon to risky to be left running around, like the harmonium. |

Just because John Sheppard in Stargate Atlantis has the Ancient Technology Activation Gene doesn't mean he (without scientists to help him in this aspect) has the slightest idea what this Ancient technology is for, let alone how to make it do something meaningful.

Well I know that Sifr wouldn't be able to know what to do about M9 seeing as how she just found out all that info about herself, but i was wondering seeing as how only blood members of the windbloom royal family are the only ones who can awaken the ancient technology like M9, shouldn't they be the only ones able to control it?

Not necessary. Activation != control.
Imagine that a piece of equipment is fingerprint-locked to Alice, but only Bob knows how to operate it. Alice may press the button to activate the device, but she knows nothing about the commands that are used to operate it. Bob knows them, but needs Alice to activate the device first. Replace "fingerprint" with "Windbloom genetics" and you have the Otome situation. With the HiME connection "revelation", my personal theory is that the "lost technology" like the Harmonium and M-9 were created by Searrs and for some reason genetically locked to the ancestor(s) of the Windbloom royal family. Schwartz is presumably a splinter faction of Searrs, while the Foundation itself no longer exists. Thus, they are qualified to operate the leftover technology from Searrs, but can't activate it by themselves. |

While the "descendants of Alyssa" thing is pretty blatantly spelled out, I disagree about Fumi.
Mai-HiME took place in 2005. At that point nobody, bar Searrs, had the advanced technology we see in the Otomeverse - and the nations definitely weren't sending colonists to other planets. A nuclear war was possible, but not with robots and not with a bunch of instant-HiME-just-add-nanomachines when Searrs barely figured out how to grow one from scratch. I think the War of the Twelve Kings, as seen in the flashback in S.ifr, couldn't have occurred within reasonable time since Mai-HiME - and so, unless HiME Fumi had a really long lifespan, I find it implausible for her to also be the Founder. By the time Fumi uses her Robe in battle (as seen in said flashback), the Administar should have already been up and running. If so, then she would have little reason to use a Robe by virtue of being a natural HiME. I think that Fumi was different, just like Mai, Natsuki et al. in Otome. As for the Fuka building... They're on a different planet. So either that building was transported there, or it's a different, identical one. I lean towards the letter, given that theer are at least two Fuka-like buildings in Otome: one in the Black Valley, the other in Artai, with some kind of portal connecting them. |
