Enders Project (Zone of the Enders' New Sequel)
New Zone of the Enders project announced
Z.O.E. HD Night ends with big announcement. Kojima Productions ended its Zone of the Enders HD Night in Shinjuku with a big announcement – a new Zone of the Enders is currently underway. Spoiler for Big pics:
According to 4Gamer.net, Hideo Kojima is very serious about trying to create a sequel, which is why he felt confident enough to announce the project. However, the game is still in the very early, experimental stages. Twitter user Magu, who attended the event, says the project is a sequel to Anubis set not in a futuristic setting, but in an ancient civilization. The render shown above was created in the Fox Engine. http://gematsu.com/2012/05/new-zone-...ject-announced

Hideo Kojima is making something besides Metal Gear?! Still how ridiculous do people think this game is going to end up being? Will Metal Gear's style of games that have increasingly more and more in jokes to the point where they make up a good portion of the story content carry over?
Personally I've never played a ZoE other than the GBA Fist of Mars one that kind of played a little like Super Robot Wars, but I've seen an LP of the first one and heard the second one is supposed to be really great. I guess we'll see what they do here. |

Anyway, about damn freaking time. Hopefully, this will be a worthy sequel of the original games and not an abomination like MGS4 was.

So we can finally play as the big bad dude now after being only able to ogling at it all these years ? Though I wonder why the need to redesign him to resemble his sibling. And it seems that Kojima is aiming to expand the ZOE lore by putting a Stargate spin on it.
But best of all, they finally remove that eye sore of a groin. |

Anywho, I'm planning on picking up the Zone of the Enders HD collection later this year when it releases. I've always liked Metal Gear so I figured I'd give Kojima's OTHER signature series a try. Convenient for this announcement.~ I just hope it plays quite differently from Armored Core. I didn't like those games very much.

Nah, I enjoyed the anime too. It certainly wasn't a masterpiece, but for what it was, it was very enjoyable. I especially like how, for once, the protagonist was not a teenager, but rather a near 50 year old man. It felt rather fresh in that regard.

Update Info:
- Enders Project is the next sequel in the Zone of the Enders series. - Currently it is only a concept they are developing. Kojima says he is extremely busy with his own projects, so a new producer has been assigned to this project. Ryosuke Toriyama (Busou Shinki series) is the Konami producer who is tasked with Enders Project right now, and he is the creative producer. - The other person working on developing the concept is Yoji Shinkawa, the mecha designer and illustrator for the series. - So far they have designed the main Orbital Frame, and created a detailed concept scale model for it. The model design has also been converted into CG, and they have successfully rendered it on their internal Fox Engine. - Nothing else has been decided at this time, but they are exploring all possible avenues to proceed with development of this project. Kojima says that they will be retaining the aspects which make ZoE what it is, including the anime taste mecha action, as well as story concepts like the Metatron. The difference this time is that they are going for a more fantasy style art design, instead of a futuristic one. Link: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=475494

busou shinki producer makes sense, its kinda de moe version zone of enders, just slower without the great atmosphere and the epic soundtrack, wich made zoe 2 one of the games i played three times in a row, and keep doing the vr missions just to enjoy the BGM.

Favourite stage was ZOE2 battleship stage with the BGM "Air Fight". I played that stage so many times destroying the ships in different ways.
My favourite method is using the vector cannon at the back of the first ship and aiming at the other ships.
