Hello, i'm looking for an anime about high school life. I have just noticed my interest in these after watching School Rumble.

Criteria-
1)Be about school life.
2)Have a romance/comedy genre.
3)Have nice characters as in looks (Having a hot anime girl in an anime really makes me look forward to watch it) and personality (Example of these two aspects Eri Sawachaki from School Rumble)
4)Fun to watch.

Please help me out, I have been bored to death for the past week not being able to find anything to watch, and because School Rumble was so awesome, i feel like i will need something as awesome or else i won't be able to get into it, Many Thanks. Arigato Gozaimust.

Kare Kano
One of my favorites. School romance, likable characters, and with comedy too. The ending isn't that great but the first half more then makes up for it.

Ouran High School Host Club
Heavy on comedy, if you liked School Rumble you'll like this. Colorful characters, doesn't take itself too seriously, but enjoyable.

Azumanga Daiou (no romance, but very funny)
Kare Kano
Midori no Hibi
Onegai Teacher

Also i would like to ask if Sola is a good anime, i was surfing around net and i came upon this anime, any thoughts would be nice.

seconded Kare Kano and Midori Days....

Tenshi na Konamaiki ~ school rumble like anime w/ some twist of ranma...

Kanon 2k6 ~ some funny moments, mostly dramatic scenes and very nice storyline and eye candy grafx/animation..

The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya ~ this one... you may like it or hate it... all depends on you.... mostly comedic scenes/ a little to none romance / very fun to watch...

Fruits Basket ~ school life, had some romance, very nice character looks (maybe kawaii but not hawt)... and also fun to watch

^all of them have their funny moments and turn more serious towards the end. All are school life/romance

Seto no Hanayome. Currently ongoing. THE comedy of the season. Definitely check this out.

I second Shuffle! & also recommend Onegai Teacher & Onegai Twins. They all have their romantic moments ^^

And, although this doesn't really fall into the hot girl as a main character category, I highly recommend the GTO series for a high school setting. This also has some romantic moments, but not nearly as many as the series above.

I consider Cardcaptor Sakura a school life romantic comedy, but you might consider it too childish.

I second this. Though the romance (IMO) doesn't pick up until the second half/second movie, it's definitely worth the wait.

Dang you guys just skipped over the most obvious choice...

HIGH SCHOOL Girls(Pretty darn funny with an intimate look at hawt chicks coming of age--you'll enjoy if I am to believe your criteria)...

also...

Kare Kano is obviously a gem amoungst coals in it's genre, so I second that...

DearS (It's ecchi aswell, but funny with loads of HS stuff)

Cromartie High School (One of my personal favs, no relationship stuff, but it's the most "out-there" HS title I've ever watched...A combination of extremely witty and ridiculous non-sensical comedy)

Also try BECK too to close it out...

Spoiler for very slight spoiler (plot generalizations) of CCS and Nodame Cantabile: To be more specific, romance is a subplot that emerges as the main plot, while the cards become a supporting factor for romance. This is similar to Nodame Cantabile, where (in my opinion) the music, which started out as the main plot (Chiaki's ambitions, determination, etc...) becomes the driving force and the bridge that connects the main characters.
