Also, surprise! Cracks are now appearing in the united front of the Ades Generals. Vasant frankly looks pissed, and has appeared personally to talk to the survivors of the Glacies Rocket Squadrons (Dian and her friends included), while Orang is already voicing doubts about whether the 'justice' that Luscinia espouses is really the right one to follow. Sorush doesn't seem to care much though, and Sadri seems to be going along with Luscinia (the latter seems to defer to the older admiral for some reason)... for now.

Huh, looks like I might end up eating my elaborate prediction of which generals are going to side with whom based on their fleets: Sadri appears to follow Luscinia, while Orang is having doubts. That might make Sadri and Fam's encounter more dramatic, should the speculation that he is Fam's grandfather prove to be correct.

Speaking of turning sides, I was expecting Luscinia to make the first move against Vasant, not the other way around. I have to say that this was a pleasant surprise for me, because too often writers are tempted to make a character like her the victim in such cases. I am glad to see her take initiative. It looks like the scene with her being in charge of diplomacy a few episodes back proved quite important here: It explains why she speaks Glacien. I am just a bit surprised that 1. the Glaciens didn't seem to react in a hostile manner when Vasant told them her people were in the fleet that attacked them, and 2. Sara seems to have turned against Luscinia so completely when she appeared to like him a lot in the previous episodes. From these, I have to say: Vasant is one scary woman.

I wonder if the surviving winged priestesses will be the 5th fleet's vanship squadron in the upcoming war.

I am sure the Fam critics will love her role this episode.

Millia finally gets the resolve to fight Liliana with everything and whatever resources she can get. Fam objects, then shows the wonders of friendly racing to Millia, who then starts to break down again.

Giselle looked pretty unhappy and distracted when her mother said she should support Millia in any way she can. I hope this is because she's worried about Millia, not because we're in for round 2 of Giselle's wavering.

YEP, Fam shows us again how stupid and immature she is.

Millia on other hand: Full of resolve. She's just an awesome main character(she's the MC now for all I care). Of course, she had an understandable break down at the end. Stupid fan fan fan, instead of supporting her, ran off to pilot her vanship. Millia had to cry on Giselles' mother shoulder.

I would be quite disappointed if Luscinia planned all along to paint himself as the evil regent who manipulated Augusta Sara into committing genocide so she can later get rid of him and have a legacy as a righteous ruler, because it would be a woefully inadequate attempt to excuse his crimes.

Maybe the loli empress will turn out to be the one who planned this. >.>

Interesting ep, so we dont get the juicy fight of exile vs exile. Augusta (Vasant) rebels against Lukia. The big question now where Lukia is heading to?

Alvis? Possible but i dont think it is her that he want to get, because he said it is something related 10years ago, so Alvis should be out.

Nah, Sara is too young and naive as speculated by Millia at the end. She can be easily be manipulated by any of her advisers. But since Vasant is the one always closest to her she can sweet talk Sara in believing Luscinia is evil and should be punished.

So, while Luscinia is away on some side trip, the other side takes advantage of it. It'll be interesting who takes what side. Guess a few people got tired of his scorched earth policy when it came to dealing with conquering others.

I was surprised at how cordial Luscinia and Sadri were, I think I must've misread their relationship. We'll see.

I like how this episode demonstrated Millia's resolve ("I have to kill my sister!") while at the same time showing her political acumen. For example, when they get the letter from Ades, Fam takes it at face-value until Millia points out that the Augusta is a child and the letter is the work of an anti-Luscinia faction.

I didn't like that the attack on Kartoffel was depicted as virtually consequence-free. Ho hum, they need to sort through piles of rubble and salvage. We didn't see any dead Sky Pirates and they didn't seem to be throwing any funerals. I did like, at least, that they were now throwing in their lot with Millia, having realised that their unaligned position gave them zero advantages when the Federation could reach out and attack them at any time.

Going back to Luscinia, I bet he's gone off on some White Legacy-related business, especially as Alauda was accompanying him. It was interesting to see that both of them took a change of clothes. This might just be cold-weather gear, as Luscinia's stated reason for attacking Glacies was to gain him access to something in the north. I want to see more of what he's doing.

I think that the race scene may have diverted Millia from the course she laid out when they arrived at Kartoffel, but I hope we see more of her hard-nosed self in the next episode. Not that I hate Fam, it's just that I can see her cutting short what I think would be interesting developments.

Good episode with good development for Milia and Fam. Fam being powerless and Milia being brave and resolute enough to even say she will strike down her beloved Onee-sama. I can't imagine her resolve to say such thing. And in the end of all it turn into that Luscinia would be an escape goat of the federation or he is really hated <.< not sure on what to make up of the lady officer and her chaos clan last survivor status.

Luscinia's feeling confident that the seriously damaged 3rd and 4th fleets could handle the forces of Anatoray-Disith denotes the Ades might be aware that they could be still using outdated battleships and tactics from their Prester days. If so only Anatoray's Exile and the emerging rift within the Ades Federation could give them a fair fighting chance.

But I have a feeling Luscinia is just using those under him to buy him some time in order to get whatever he's looking for in Glacies. Once he gets it not even Vasant's treachery or Anatoray could put a stop to his schemes. And for all we know Luscinia might have already anticipated the turning of Vasant. It is not far fetch that those Guild-like men are working behind the shadows during his absence in the Ades capital.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I don't find it disappointing though; it seems very much in line with one who believes that ends justifies the means.

I find the civil war twist to be a good and plausible development. First, the provincial fleets were intentionally used (almost unnecessarily) as cannon fodder, and it's likely that it was also a move to reduce the fleet strengths of the assimilated nations. Some backlash is entirely expected.

A second benefit is that plot-wise, it allows Anatoray to survive a war which they would otherwise certainly lose, since they're "militarily weak".

Every time Fam is on screen I want to vomit. I have not hated an anime character this much in quite some time. I hope to god she dies at the end of the series as a martyr or something, just leave that world already Fam, no one will care.

Oh, and no exile battle was super lame. I guess they're saving it for the last few episodes......right?

What no Exile versus Exile scenes! Well Glacias is wiped out. Wonder what Vasant wants with Dian and her group. Wasn't expecting Sadri and Luscinia to be on such easy terms. Wonder where he went to for a little breather. So Anatory is their next target.

Glad everyone was safe in Kartoffel after the bombings. Liked how Millia ha the resolve to fight back, but like Fam didn't like that she wanted to strike down her own sister. Gisey also was pretty down this ep. Glad the quick race lifted up their spirits and Millia chose not to want to kill her sister. So Vasant is now running things and trying to get Luscinia out of the picture. Wonder how Sara feels.

I'm sorry, but given where I feel the plot is going,I've come to the conclusion that this should be called Last Exile:SEED Destiny rather then Last Exile:Fam, The Silver Wing. With the only difference being Fam's just disgustingly naive stupid rather then the PTSD Angry stupid that Shinn had going for himself.
